Chapter Thirty- Six: It's Time

(Y/N is 9 months pregnant)
Y/N's Pov

"Hey, what about the name Cherry?" I asked Jess.
"Cherry?" He laughed.
"Yeah. It's cute." I smiled.
"Honey, I love you. But we are not naming our child after a fruit." He said, looking over at me.
"You know. I had a very good friend named Cherry." I said.
"Oh did you?" He asked.
"Yes I did." I said proudly.

Me and Jess were shopping at the store for the rest of the baby things. I grabbed the shelf as I felt pain ripple threw me, and felt my water brake.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" Jess asked, grabbing my hands.
I nodded.
"It's time." I whimpered.
"Now?" He asked.
"Yes now!" I shouted.
"B-But we still have like two weeks." He said.
"Jess!" I yelled.
"Okay, okay." He said, and he helped me out of the store, and to the car.
He started driving, and I held my stomach, and screamed out in pain.
"Okay, okay. We're almost there." He said grabbing my hand.
I lightly smiled at his gesture, and kept panting trying to control my breath.
Jess pulled up into the hospital, and we went inside. A doctor brought us into a room.
"Alright.. the baby isn't coming at this moment. But any time now." He said. "Do you need to call your family?"
"Yeah." I sighed, as the pain lessened.
I called my mom, because that's all who I wanted in the room with me. I didn't want the whole Gilmore tribe in this room.

I saw mom rush into the room, and she smiled.
"Hi." I smiled, happy to see her here.
"Hey hon." She said, sitting in a chair next to me.
"How are you feeling?" She asked.
"Im feeling fine right now." I nodded.
"So.. You guys picked out a name?" Mom asked, hopefully.
I looked at Jess.
"Not officially." Jess said.
"Okay." Mom nodded.
"Oh god.." I whimpered.
"What?" Jess asked.
"I-It hurts." I felt the pain in my stomach growing.
The doctor came in, and he nodded to me.
"Alright. I'm gonna have you start pushing now." He said.
"No, no, no." I cried. "I can't do this."
Jess grabbed my hand, kissing it lightly.
"You can." He nodded. "I'm right here. Okay?"
"Okay." I nodded.

The room soon filled with my screams, and whimpers in pain.

I sighed in relief as I heard the baby crying. I closed my eyes, and opened them. The doctor handed me my baby.
"Oh my god.." I smiled.
I held my baby girl in my arms and I smiled again. I ran my finger over her cheek, and looked up at Jess who was smiling.
"She looks just like you Jess.." I whispered.
"Yeah?" He mumbled.
I nodded, smiling.
"You wanna hold her?" I asked.
"What? Oh, um. No. I'm fine." He said.
"Common Jess." I smiled.
I handed her to Jess, and he held her small figure in his arms. He smiled.
"She had your eyes.." I whispered to Jess.
"She's beautiful.." Mom smiled.
I nodded.
"What's her name?" Mom asked.
I looked at Jess.
"Mila Lorelai Mariano-Gilmore." I whispered.
"It's perfect." Jess smiled.
I looked at mom, and she had slight tears in her eyes. I smiled, and she smiled back.
"You wanna hold her mom?" I asked, and Jess handed Mila to mom.
Mom smiled again, and Jess kissed my temple, holding my hand.
"You did great." He whispered, and I nodded.
