Chapter Twenty- Four: Cheating

I woke up, and looked over to see that Logan was still asleep. I decided to get up anyway. I went to my closet and picked out an outfit for today, and I went to the bathroom. I took a warm shower, trying to wake myself up.

After my shower, I got dressed in the outfit that I picked out. I dried my hair, and decided to straighten it. After I finished with my hair, I put on some light makeup. Some light powdered foundation, light blush, some mascara, and some lip gloss. I went to my room, and saw Logan still sleeping. I quietly laughed to myself, and got my shoes and put them on. I grab a bag, input a book, a water bottle, and my phone in it. I wrapped it around my shoulder and went downstairs. I saw mom sitting at the table drinking coffee.
"Good morning," I said, pouring myself a cup of coffee.
"Good morning hon," Mom said.
After I got my coffee, I grabbed a pop tart and sat at the table next to mom.
"So how'd you sleep?" Mom asked me.
"Pretty good," I answered, taking a sip of my coffee.
"Is Logan still asleep?" Mom asked me.
"Yep," I said to her.
"So what do you wanna do today? I think that Rory was planning on hanging out with Dean today. But we could always call her, and see if she wanted to do something with us," Mom said.
"I don't know. I wanted to show Logan around a little bit more today. Hey, you can come with us. You know all the great places to go?" I asked mom.
"oh, I don't want to interfere with your time with Logan," She said.
"No it's fine," I told her, smiling a little bit.
"Ok then," She said.
"I'm gonna go wake up Logan," I told her.
"Alright," mom said smiling back at me.
I put down my coffee after taking one last sip of it. I walked upstairs and went to my bedroom. I saw Logan doing something on his computer. He was wearing regular gray jeans, A blue button up shirt, and a leather jacket.
"Good morning," I said, taking a seat next to him on my bed.
"How'd you sleep?" I asked Logan, leaning my head against his shoulder to see what he was doing on his computer.
"I slept well," He smiled.
"That's good," I said.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"I'm sending this email to one of my dad's clients. He called me up while you were downstairs, and asked me to do it. So I really got no choice," He said.
"That's a long email," I said.
"Well I'm almost done," Logan smiled.
"Okay, i'll meet you downstairs?" I asked him.
"Sure," He said.
I nodded, and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. I walked downstairs and saw my mom sitting on the couch watching Tv. I walked over and sat next to her.
"He's up," I said.
"Good," Mom said.
A couple minutes past, and I saw Logan walk downstairs.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," He said.
Mom grabs the Tv remote in front of her, and turns off the Tv. She stood up, put on her jacket and shoes, and we left. Me and Logan intertwined our fingers together. We started walking to Luke's.
When we went inside, it was weird. They were only like two people here. We sat at a table by the window and Luke came over quickly.
"Do you want something to eat?" Luke asked us.
"I'll take a hamburger," I told Luke.
"I'll take a hamburger too, with extra fries," Mom said.
Luke turned to Logan, and Logan shook his head.
"I'm good, thanks," Logan said.
"Oh come on Logan," I said.
"I'm good," He said.
"We'll take another hamburger," Mom told Luke.
Luke walked away, and back to the kitchen. Then there was a big awkward silence, for about three minutes. Then Luke walked out with our food incident in front of us. Then Logan's phone rang.
"Who is it?" I asked.
He looked up at me, and back at his phone.
"No one," He said.
"One second," He said.
"Logan," I said.
He stood up, and walked out of the diner.
"Well well," Mom said.
"What?" I asked.
"Logan. That call. Why do you think he said it was no one?" Mom asked.
"I don't know," I said.
She gave me a look.
"No," I said.
"I'm just saying," Mom shrugged.
"Logan is not cheating on me," I said.
"I know, I know. You just have to be ready if he is," Mom said.
"No! I've had enough people hurt me in my life," I said.
"Hon. Think about it, why would Logan lie about a phone call?" She asked.
"What if it's just his mom or something?" I asked her.
"Why would he lie though?" She asked.
I looked down, and started eating my food. Then Logan walked in, and sat back down.
"So what'd I miss?" He asked.
"Nothing much," I snapped.
"What's your problem?" He asked.
"What's yours?" I asked.
"Y/N," He said.
"No Logan!" I yelled.
"What?" He asked.
"Can I talk to you?" I asked.
He nodded, and we walked outside.
"Who was that? On the phone?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it," He said.
"Are you cheating on me?" I asked.
"What? No," He said.
I crossed my arms looking down.
"I'm not cheating on you. Believe me," He said.
"Promise?" I asked.
"Yeah. I promise," He said.
I wrapped my arms around his neck hugging him. I pulled back, and walked back inside. We finished eating, and started walking.
"Hey, I have to go," Logan said.
I nodded. He leaned to kiss me, and I leaned my head. He kissed my cheek, and looked at me before walking away.
"Wow," Mom said.
"I think you're right mom," I said.
She wrapped her arm around me. I leaned against her as we walked home.

Sometime Later~~
I was walking to Logan's apartment, he said that he was gonna order some food. I forgave him, and realized that he wasn't cheating on me.
I got to his apartment, and walked in. Logan had made me a key, but what I saw I wish he hadn't gaven me a key. I saw Logan making out with some skinny blond. He was cheating on me. I felt a tear roll down my face, and Logan looked over to me.
"Y/N! It's not what it looks like!" He said standing up.
"It's over," I said.
"Y/N please," He said.
"I hate you!" I cried running out.
I slammed the door, and started running. I wiped the tears that were streaming down my face. I was running, and felt myself bump into someone. I looked up and saw Jess. Part of me wants to slap him, but the other just wants to run in his arms.
"Y/N?" He asked.
I bolted into his arm, and cried into his chest. I felt him wrap his arms around my shoulders.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"Okay, it's okay. I'm here, I'm always here," He said.
I wrapped my arms under his, and softly cried into his shirt.
"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry.." He whispered.
I looked up at him, and saw his eyes slightly watery.
"What happened?" He asked.
"He cheated on me," I said.
"Who cheated on you?" He asked.
"That guy?" He asked.
I nodded.
"You're still with him?" He asked.
"No," I shook my head.
"I love you.." I cried, hugging him again.
"I love you.. so much.." He whispered back to me.
I smiled, and looked back up to him. He wiped my tears with his thumb. I kissed him slowly, and I felt Jess kiss me back. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he wrapped his arms around my body. Picking me up just slightly. It started raining, and I heard music. We pulled away and I saw a guy standing there with a guitar and a microphone. He started singing Yellow by ColdPlay.
"Our song.." I whispered.
I looked at him, and I saw him smiling. I smiled back, and we just stood there listening to the music in each other's embrace.

After standing there for a while we decided to go back to my apartment. When we got inside I went to the kitchen and got some water. I grabbed a water bottle for Jess too. I went back to where Jess was and handed him the water.
"Thanks," He said.
I smiled, and nodded. I sat next to him on my couch.
"So.. you're not gonna leave me again, are you?" I asked.
He looked over at me.
"Nope," He said.
I smiled, and intertwined my fingers with his. I leaned my head against his shoulder.
"I love you Y/N," Jess said.
"I'm not going anywhere," He said.
"I love you too," I said.
"Can we go to sleep?" I asked.
"Yeah," I felt him nod.
I stood up, and so did he. He still had our fingers intertwined together.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," I said letting go of him.
"Okay," He nodded.
I went to the bathroom, and changed into some comfy clothes. I washed my face, and brushed my teeth. I brushed out my H/C hair, and went back to the bedroom. I saw Jess laying in my bed with a book. I layed down with him, and rested my head against his shoulder to see what he was reading. The Outsiders. I smiled to myself. I was getting really tired, and I couldn't help but close my eyes.
Jess's Pov
I looked over and saw Y/N asleep against my shoulder. I smiled, and gently picked her head up. I laid her down on the pillow, and put my book on her bedside table. I pulled the covers over her, and laid down next to her. My fingers slowly traced her stomach, and I closed my eyes.

I woke up the next morning and saw that Y/N wasn't here. I looked over and saw that it was 9:25 am. I rubbed my eyes with the heel of my hand, and got up. I pulled on my jeans, and walked out of her room. I saw Y/N in the kitchen making coffee. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
"Good morning," She said.
"Morning," I mumbled, lightly kissing the back of her neck.
She turned to me and handed me a cup.
"It's no Luke's coffee, but it's okay," She said.
I nodded, and we sat down on her couch.
"So.. where are you living now?" She asked.
I thought for a minute, not wanting her to know that I'm sleeping in my car.
"Around," I said.
"Around where?" She asked.
"Don't worry about it, okay?" I asked softly.
She took a breath.
"Okay," She nodded.
"But whatever. All that matters now is that I'm here. And you're here. And we're together," I said.
She smiled, and I smiled back.
