Helena's pov
"I really had fun these past 2 days thanks for inviting me"
"You welcome Kim, believe it or not I'm grateful that you were there you are the only female friend I have here" I smile squeezing her had
"Believe it or not so are you, you're the only one who isn't fake so far, and I mean I got to meet your hot brothers I would go back in time just to see their faces again" she winks eliciting a laugh from me
"They enjoyed your company too trust me I didn't hear the end of it"
"REALLY!!! I might become your sister in-law" she says eagerly
"Slow down tiger" I laugh as she pulls an annoyed face
"Anyways I believe you have some explaining to do, about where you and boss man went"
"Honestly it wasn't a big deal, we went out for some dessert breakfast and he got me a necklace as a present"
"Of course it's a big deal, he is the Jéan Macron how can it not be a big deal" she says flambagastered
"Believe it or not we have known each other since childhood our parents are literally relatives though not by blood so it isn't a big deal to me"
"No way!! Well you failed to tell me that"
"It's a story for another day Kim now let's hurry up lunch break is almost over" I say nodding we pick up after ourselves before exiting Starbucks.
As we walk back Kim's phone vibrates signaling an incoming call, I make a sign that I'll see her later before she picks the call waving at as I walk quickly to catch the elevator.
"Jade dear, I sorry to dump this on you but there has been an emergency and I have to leave I already spoke to Mr Macron" Susie says in a hurry I couldn't even reply before she left rushing towards the elevator, confused I decide to talk to Jéan
"Come in" he says from behind the door, immediately I step in making my presence known
"I don't mean to disturb but Susie didn't leave me with much instructions before she literally speed out so..." I say unsure of what else to say
"Yes unfortunately a family emergency came and she is needed urgently, as for the work that has to be done Susie has already completed most of the work I just need you to set up the boardroom for the meeting with the charity have all important documents printed of photocopied and placed in orderly manner in 4 files" he instructs nodding my head I leave to begin my work not before checking the time which shows it's 12:40 I have exactly 40 minutes before the meeting begins that should be more than enough time for the preparations to be done.
Jéan's pov
Walking into the boardroom I see everyone seated but Jade was standing at the snack table looking a bit uneasy.
A series of good afternoon was heard as I walked by and I replied all before standing in front of her"why are you standing" I asked curious
"Ohh nothing I just didn't know where to seat was waiting for you to come" she says a bit embarrassed
"Take a seat beside I need you to take any important notes and any changes made in the contract" she nods her head as we both head to our seats.
"Mr Macron everything looks in other but I was just reading the benefits that's we will get as the mangers of this project and I believe it isn't fair I speak for all three of us here that you need to reconsider" the blonde lady on my right says
"Miss .."
"Miss Allen Vally" She says looking at me smugly
"Well Miss Vally as you know you are one of the managers for the charity this project is souly for the kids and no one else the fact that you were given benefits was out of the kindness of my heart instead it was supposed to be non profitable, so I urge you to not speak for everyone but yourself if you are greedy don't pull others along just because you have selfish intentions, we are doing this for the betterment of thousands if not millions of children's lives around our country and the world let your focus be in them and not your selfish gains , also don't forget you were placed as a manger because Miss Joon couldn't be here watch yourself because I won't hesitate to pull you out" I said looking at her blankly, and I could see the fear that consumed her as I spoke.
"Have I made myself clear"
"Y...yes sir...I... apologize" she says looking down
"Good I don't tolerate greedy people if you want something work hard for it that's how I became who I am today" I said this looking at everyone seated at the table
"Now is there any other issue to discuss regarding the contract"
"All is good on my side, I would just like to know when we can start the project" Mr Joon said
"Ahh yes once you have all signed then I'll assign my team and they will meet with you by next week Monday"
Pleased with my answer they all signed and handed the contracts to Jade who has been seating quietly beside me the whole.
"Can't wait to work with you all" I stretch out my hands to shake all 3 Mangers but not without giving Miss Vally a stern look, I walk all of them to the door as they leave.
"That was an impressive mini speech you gave" Jade chuckling trying to lighten the mood
"I spoke only truth I for one knows how important this project is to my heart"
"Mind sharing?" She says looking a bit hesitant
"Maybe some other time, I need you to photocopy all these signed contracts file them and give me the originals while you keep the photocopies for Susie"
"Of course Sir" she says before walking away.
