Bibliomancy

Bibliomancy is the use of books for divination

The most common books used for this are sacred books like the the Bible or Quran, but you can use any book for this. 

One thing that most practitioners agree on is that the book you use should be one that means something to you. So if you wanna use Harry Potter, go ahead. If you want to use Percy Jackson, do it. If you want to use Twilight, i won't judge you (well, maybe i will a little).

If you're not sure of which book to use, stand in front of a book shelf and just run your fingers gently along the spines. When you get a flash of inspiration or you just feel right, stop and pick that book. 

Once you've chosen your book, grab it and close your eyes. Take a beep breath. Center and ground yourself. Once you feel that you're ready, open your book to any page.

Some like to point at a random spot on the page and use the sentence there, while others take the first sentence on that page. There are also those who look over the whole pages and choose the passage that catches their eye the most. 

Now, take time to interpret the passage you got. It may not be apparent what it means at that exact moment, so write down what you got so that you ca revisit it later.
