Not many of you may know this but i am a huge fan of the DC Universe).

And I wanted to make try to figure out how to incorporate it into witchcraft. So here we are.

Well start off with the easiest to translate into witchcraft, Zatanna. In DC she is a magician. She is the daughter of Zatara. She is most well known for when her actions cause events that will affect DC comics for years to come. Like Identity Crisis (boy, that graphic novel was a doozy). She is also well know for how she says her spells. She says her spells backwards. You can put this in your craft too. Take a word that some something to do with your spells. For example, protection. Now say it backwards. So "Noitcetorp". This is one of the simplest ways to incorporate DC into your magick.

Dr. Fate is also really easy to incorporate into magick, since he's also a very magical character. He uses a lot of symbolism in his magick, mostly ankhs. So that would be good to use. He also has his magic helmet, who turns anyone that puts it on into Dr. Fate. Although idk how one would go about doing something like this in real witchcraft. Be very hard. Infusing a spirit into an object and possesses anyone who has the object. Dr. Fate is very Egyptian based

John Constantine. He tends to do a lot of demon work. Like with Etrigan the demon.

Wonder Woman. Has a lot to do with the Greek Gods. So she'd fit here in terms of paganism. Also, i might make a spell for making a Lasso of Truth if you'd like that. If enough people ask for it.

Another thing i thought would be easy would be incorporating the Lantern Corpse into this. You can say the Lantern Oaths during spells. Like the Green Lantern oath when you're binding someone to stop them from doing harm to others.Or the White lantern for cleansing. Or the Red or Black Lantern oath for cursing (warning curses may cause death. Not suggested). The possibilities are endless. You can also make your own Lantern Ring. No, you cannot make those holographic constructs the the lantern rings can do. But you can use this ring for manifestation. Buy a Lantern Ring (Green Lantern rings are the easiest to find.), or i guess you can use any ring. But a lantern ring fits the theme a lot more. Cup it in your hands and charge it with the intention of manifestation. You can use sigils and crystals to help you if you must by placing the ring on the sigil and place the crystals around it. You can use any crystal that represents manifestation.

You know, the Green Lantern oath kinda reminds me of the Wiccan rede. Imagine, Green Lantern wiccans. That would be so cool.

DC VERTIGO Sandman by Neil Gaiman. In that graphic novel series there is a group of deities called the Endless. My favorite is Death, but there is also Destiny, Dream, Destruction, Desire, Despair, and Delirium. I feel like you can definitely work with them. Do research first

Of course you can also work with DC characters. I now want to work with Batman or The Joker

You can make correspondences on each character. Here's a link to something that will tell you how you can do this (useful for more than  just DC but i decided to put i in this pop culture chapter instead of the first introduction to pop culture one because their examples are DC)

The Fool card or a Joker card could be used to represent the Joker on an altar. Bats could represent Batman. I have a Joker action figure i should probably put on mine.

I wish i could find a way to put Bat-Mite in here. I guess through imagination? Because the 5th dimension is imagination you could invoke him during visualization? or Mister Mxyzptlk?

Should i do any DCU astrology character analysis? Like i figure out what their natal chart looks like (since we don't know most of their birthdays). Or is they already have a natal chart i analyze that and see if it's accurate

Here are more pop culture DCU things you can do

Fun fact: Batman is based on this old movie called The Bat (1926). Joker is based on this old movie called The Man Who Laughs (1928). There is a character who is a mashup of The Joker and Batman. His name is The Batman Who Laughs.

Another fun fact: Joker's smile is considered a sardonic grin. A sardonic grin is used to describe a bitter or scornful smile. The origins of this is from when a highly toxic plant, like the hemlock water dropwort, forces your muscles to contract into a smile. People usually die because of how toxic the plant it (this is basically a real life Joker toxin)

(My sister said i should do a Marvel one of these. Would anyone like that?)

(also https://www.cbr.com/joker-queer-straight/ The Joker has been a homosexual for about half of his 80 years of existence. And while i love Harley Quinn, i am sad they they erased his homosexuality when Harley was brought into the mix. And even then with his girlfriends he never seemsed that interested. The Joker is obviously in love with Batman, and in a few comics he had an unnamed boyfriend in the past. There is a petition https://www.change.org/p/make-the-joker-gay-again to make the Joker gay again and i hope he does become gay again. The only reason Harley Quinn was invented was because Joker wasn't allowed to jump out of the cake un a dress, so they made a female instead)
