Using divination to come up with ideas for stories or fanfics

I have never used this method on any of the stories i have published on Wattpad, as i usually don't have the time to write the stories i get from these methods. However i think these would be very useful to use when you're going through a writers block. And since you're here on wattpad this might be helpful to you

One method that comes to mind is only really successful when you're using it for fanfics, however you can use it for other types of stories. This method is using lithomancy to help you come come up with an idea (check out my chapter on lithomancy please). In that chapter i take about having a stone to represent yourself and you have a bunch of other stone to represent different things and which ever stone lands closest to your stone is your message. This same technique can work for story ideas.

Choose a stone to represent yourself. Then choose stones to represent different AUs (or ships or story ideas that your can't choose between, etc. I'm just using AUs as an example.)

So a stone for a soulmate au, one for an omegaverse or A/B/O, one for a hanahaki disease, one for enemies to lovers trope, coffee shop au, highschool au, muggle/human au, etc. You take these stones and you through them and whichever stone lands closer to the stone that represents you is the au you should us.

You can do this multiple times to flesh out your story more. Say you got a soulmate au. Well there are multiple types of soulmate aus. So you could have a stone for a red strings of fate soulmate au, a creature inheritance soulmate au, a countdown til you meet your soulmate, whatever your soulmate draws on their skin appears on yours, etc. The possibilities are endless.

You can also use tarot to come up with ideas. I have an example above on a spread you can use for this. There are hundreds of spread out there on creating story ideas and fleshing out your characters

Divination has been used to write really famous stories in the past (mostly dreams). Stories like Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde or Frankenstein wouldn't exist without this.

The think that inspired me to do this was I was reading an example on how playing cards could be used for the Grand Tableau lenormand spread (this spread is very intimidating. You should look it up some time). In the example spread they used they found out that the Queen of Spades ( the significator card for the person the author was doing the reading for) was married to the King of Hearts but the Queen of Spades was in love with the King of Spade. The King of Spades was married to the Queen of Hearts (the Court Cards represented people in the questioners life). I thought this would make a great idea for a story (but I'm lazy so I never wrote it)
