Divination

Divination (from Latin divinare, 'to foresee, to foretell, to predict, to prophesy', related to divinus, 'divine'), or "to be inspired by a god," is the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation.

Some different types of divination are:

Palmistry: The practice of interpreting someone's character or future through the line of there palm or the color and shape of there hand

Aeromancy: using the weather and cosmological occurrences to predict the future and gain insight on something

Cartomancy: using cards, such as tarot, oracle, lenormand, or regular playing cards, to answer questions and gain insight (this is my favorite form of divination)

Somatomancy: Body divination 

Scrying: Scrying is basically seeing or peeping into a suitable medium the hopes of detecting a significant message or vision. Some common scrying tools are black mirrors, water or oil, flames or smoke, tasseomancy, etc. I'm planning on making a chapter on just scrying and i might make future chapters on how to use different tools for scrying, such as watercolors or the stars

IDK the official name for this, but casting: so things like rune casting (I love runes), bone throwing, charm casting (my runes are in my charm casting set. i also love charm casting), stone throwing, etc

There are far more different forms of divination, but these are just the most common
