four days later

-

I decided that i'd stay in my room at least until my black eye cleared up. It was still there just a little less noticeable.

"Hii." I said, sitting in my usual spot near Mikey.

"Where have you been?" Gerard asked.

"He's been jacking off obviously." Frank joked.

"For four days straight? Wow." Mikey laughed.

"Actually, I wasn't feeling well."

"Anyway, Hayley has been looking for you." Gerard said.

"Here she comes now." Mikey whispered.

"Can we talk?" She asked me. I nodded and walked off with her.

-

"I'm really sorry for walking off like that the other day." I apologize.

"It's okay." She gave a slight smile. Today she was looking sadder than ever.

"What's up?" I questioned.

"So, I talked to Brendon."

"Aaand?"

"I told him I liked him." She paused for a second before starting again.
"He rejected me. Now he's saying that I was sooo desperate for him. He even said I gave him a blowjob in the back of the fucking library."

A couple of tears slip down her cheeks.

I brought her in for a hug.

"Oh Hayley. You deserve better, ok? Any guy would be lucky to have you. You're so goddamn rad and It really hurts me to see you cry over some asshole."

I heard her laugh.

"Thank you, Patrick."

(a/n: skipping to group session just bc)

As I walked into the room, i briefly made eye contact with Pete. He hasn't said anything to me since our fight the other day. Not that I was expecting him to.

He raised his hand now.

"Yes Pete?" Tyler said.

"I guess I sorta have a confession."

"Well, do you want to tell me privately or-"

"No, I want to say in front of everyone."

"Go ahead."

"Remember when Patrick told us about him getting bullied?"

Tyler nodded slowly.

"I was his bully." Pete said, a bit quieter.

Tyler and Josh shared a look, not knowing what to say.

"You're lucky if I don't beat your ass later on." Gerard growled.

"Peter, please step outside so I can talk to you for a minute." She said, seriously.

A few minutes they came back in.

"Patrick, I'm sorry. I took out all of my anger out on you and you didn't deserve it." Pete said.

...

"I..it's o- no. No, Pete. It's not ok." I stood up. "You have made my life hell since 7th grade. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here."
