"Hello Patrick." Tyler greeted me.

"Hi."

He started off with the usual questions like "how are you" and all that.

"Do you remember the story you shared with us quite a while ago?"

Oh! That one story I told and ended up sobbing in front of everyone? Of course I remember that.

I nodded.

Tyler started rummaging through his drawers trying to find something.

"It kind of inspired me to write something. I felt like you really needed it."

How come everyone keeps showing me things that they think I need?

First Pete with that band..

G..

Green...

Green Night? Yeah, something like that.

Now Tyler.

Tyler handed me a paper.

"Read it later." He told me.

"Okay." I quietly responded.

-

3 am. (A/N: I SKIP TIME A LOT I KNOOOW ITS SO ANNOYING)

"Stop!" I heard Pete suddenly yell.

Immediately woke up.

"Pete, what's wrong?"

No response.

He was still sleeping.

I got out of my own bed and slowly walked over to his bed.

"Please don't hit me." He whispered.

"Pete.." I murmured. "Wake up!" I said, a bit loudly.

He instantly shot up.

"Wha.."

"You were having a nightmare."

"Oh. Yeah, those happen sometimes."

"If you don't mind me asking, what were you dreaming about?"

Pete opened his mouth. Then closed.

"My dad.. he was abusive. Physically and verbally. He called me every name in the book and he always bruised me so bad. He left my mom and I 3 years ago. I still get nightmares about him."

His bottom lip was trembling and his eyes were glossy.

"It's okay to cry, Pete."

"I won't cry. That's something he always bullied me for. Crying too much."

"He's not here anymore, Pete. I'm here. And I'm telling you it's okay. Please. Just let it all out. You'll feel so much better."

Without saying anything he burst into tears. I could tell he had been holding back for so long.

I ran my fingers through his raven hair.

"Do you know what's worth fighting for? When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away and you feel yourself suffocating? Does the pain weight out the pride? And you look for a place to hide? Did someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins." I quietly sang to him.

He looked up at me and smiled.

"Thank you, Patrick."

I returned the smile and decided to walk back over to my bed.

"Wait!" He said. "Can you sleep with me?"

"What?"

Just making sure I heard him correctly.

"Never mind.. That was stupid. I..thought that I could sleep better if you were with me because you always seem to make me feel better. Forget it though."

"Scoot over, Pete."

We didn't fall asleep at first. We kept talking.

"Do you have a crush?" He randomly asked.

I let out a small laugh. "I think I have my eye on someone."

"Me too."

"Ooh, who is it?" I asked, with a small smirk.

"I'll tell you one of these days. Let's say just say that you know them very well."

Fuck. It's Hayley.

"I'm tired now. Goodnight Pete."

"Night." He said. I turned the opposite way and closed my eyes.

I jumped a little when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

"Pete?"

"Shh.. go to sleep now."

I could've sworn I felt him kiss my head. Then and there I fell asleep perfectly in his arms.

It just felt...

so right.

Man, I'm falling hard.
