GETTING ELECTROCUTED was exhausting. Odessa Stone had the urge to let her head fall back against the couch she was sitting on between Scott and Stiles. It was a really tight fit on the Sheriff's couch in his office. All the girl wanted to do was sleep the day away. But there she was, squished between her two guy friends with Kira sat next to Scott and Lydia sitting in the chair next to them while getting grilled by Agent McCall. Again, really tight fit.
"So when did you get there," Agent McCall asked, looking toward Stiles.
"At the same time."
"At the same time as who?"
"At the same time as me," Scott pointed to himself as his best friend pointed to him as well.
"By coincidence?"
"What do you mean by coincidence?"
Odessa sighed deeply before allowing her head to fall back against the couch like she wanted to, not caring if she looked rude while doing so. She knew the boys, especially Stiles, were going to rattle Agent McCall's cage, she just wished they weren't doing it at 1 in the morning.
"That's what I'm asking you," the Agent motioned to the younger Stilinski in the room, as Sheriff Stilinski was seated at his desk behind him, amused with the back and forth, "the two of you arrived at the same time. Was that a coincidence?"
"Are you asking me?"
"I think he's asking me."
"I think he's asking both of you," the Stone interjected, not bothering to open her eyes from her position.
"Okay, let me answer the questions," Agent McCall paused, sighing as he registered his own words, as did everyone around him, who tried not to laugh or crack a smile, "let me ask the questions. Just so I have this absolutely clear," he looked through his note pad, "Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the blackboard telling him to kill Kira. Then Barrow took Kira to a power substation and tied her up with the intent of electrocuting her, which blacked out the entire town."
Stiles nodded at the summary of the night, along with his friends, "sounds about right."
"How did you know he'd take her to a power station?"
"Well, 'cause he was an electrical engineer. So where else would he take her?"
Agent McCall nodded, almost mockingly impressed, "that's one hell of a deduction there, Stiles."
