The night that Peter and Y/N spent together, was riddled with an unmentioned tension. They slept on opposite sides of the bed, not touching but facing each other. They fell asleep separately, but woke up pressed against each other softly. It wasn't until the morning when a suit clad Iron Man walked into the room shortly after they had woken. Luckily for the both of them, it was an empty suit sent remotely by Tony Stark, but the video footage Tony was streaming allowed him to see exactly who was in bed with his daughter.

"Dude, you wouldn't believe it, she was all like 'oh imagine fucking me' and I was all like 'you know I can't do that' and then we full hooked up, Ned it was insane I can't get over it!" Peter rambled, recounting the night he had spent with Y/N on the rooftop.

"But then I'm in the Stark residence and she's talking about how hot Spider-Man is and how hes so brave and strong and we almost kissed and then Mr. Stark calls and ruins it and then I slept in her room and she was so cute and small and then BAM Iron Man walks in in the morning but it wasn't actually him it was an empty suit so thank fuck but dude!" He continues, without taking a pause or even a breath for that matter. He hadn't had the chance to speak with Ned since all of the events had occurred, mostly because of nightly crime patrols, cooking dinner for Aunt May and Ned being busy with his on and off again girlfriend, Betty.

Ned slurped his drink whilst listening to Peter unload all of his thoughts, the lack of liquid compared to ice making an obnoxiously loud sound.

"You on drugs or something man? You're talking faster than my crazy uncle Ricky" he laughed. Peter groaned and kept walking through the college campus, dodging oncoming people on their way through the narrow corridors.

"Seriously though, she's like, cheating on you, with you.. isn't that kinda weird?" Ned asks, finding the situation not only risky for Spider-Man, but for Peter Parker.

"It's not cheating cos she's not dating either of us- me. She's not dating me, she can do whatever she wants" Peter retaliates, before stumbling into the wall with assistance from Flash's shoulder barging into his side. How Flash had gotten into the same college as them, and still managed to bully Peter bewildered him, but he put up with it.

"Oops didn't see you there Penis Parker! Maybe you should ask Tony Stark to come help you" He mocks, high-fiving a fellow frat boy.

"Oh yeah? Maybe he'll ask Y/N Stark instead!" Ned calls out after him, causing Flash to turn around.

"Haven't you learned yet Leeds? Exposing Parker's lies about the Stark family is just going to embarrass him at yet another party like high school. But prove it Parker" he snarled, inching closer to Peter.

"N-no she's not my girlfriend or anything we ju-" he says before getting cut off by Ned again,

"They're just sleeping with each other" he abruptly interrupts again before Flash rolls his eyes and leaves.

"Ned! What the fuck man!" Peter groans, leaning his face against the wall and screwing his face up.

"We've already been through this before and it ended horribly don't you remember? This is why I'm chronically single even at college when everyone gets laid constantly" he sighs.

It had been several weeks that Peter had been overseas on a mission, and Iron Man sat in silence across from him on the Quinjet, amongst the rest of the other heroes flying back to New York. They had defeated yet another villain, but the close-knit teamwork that the group was used to, had an obvious elephant in the room.

"Are you both going to say anything to each other this mission or are we all going to pretend like this is normal?" Bruce says, his eyes squinting in confusion at both of them, Steve annoyed that an obvious personal issue had gotten in the way of an almost seamless mission.
