You,

"Have you seen the moon?" he ecstatically said, not hello nor hi. His much excitement affected me and so I went out the veranda instantly. There I saw him outside his veranda too across mine. He waved at me and gave me a satisfied smile. Then, he pointed the yellowish full moon commanding me to take a glimpse of it. I smiled. Moon brings me comfort and eases my loneliness, just like the man across mine. "It's beautiful", I mouthed to him. "Just like you", he silly replied.

"Gun", he calmly said at the phone interrupting me from staring at him without blinking. "Off", I said to him. "Can you not call me Off?  Call me Papii." " As in P A P I I," he slowly spelled out the word over the phone.

"Simply put as father, friend,or literally a puppy maybe. It's up to you on how you will interpret that, but one thing's for sure, I am your Papii only and you're my only babii." (it's me who thought of that spelling hihi)

Butterflies never fail to pay a visit in my stomach during these kind of moments. All my life I've been wanting love, care, and attention. Little did I know, it is him who will give me those. Yesterday I was alone, but now I have a friend. Maybe tomorrow it's more than that. Who knows.

And that friend is not done yet.

"As much as I want to be with you, to be by your side all the times, I'm terrified I cannot do so", he continued.

"Papii always want to let you know that you are not alone. That you have me when you think you have no one. I always want to assure you that everything will be alright when you are at your worst. But, I know that I am incapable of doing those things all the time. So, I want you to look at the moon again." and so I did.

"Think of me whenever you see the moon. Whenever you are occupied by darkness, by loneliness, please remember that you have me, your moon, to give you light."

"You have me, Gun. You had me since the day you shouted at the moon."

Love,
Gun
