"Who is standing there?"

"No one." I narrowed my eyes at Finlay, who gave me a cute frown, tilting his head. "You are right. I am hallucinating things." He hummed, then yawned. "Why did you call before?"

"I wanted to inform you that Reed's case is off now."

"Oh..." I mumbled, still staring at him.

"Yeah... You'll need some other story-"

"I need to take care of something else first." I cut him off. "Why don't you sleep? I'll talk to you at work." Before he could say something, I hung up and glared at Finlay.

"What?"

"You..." I pointed at him and smirked. "Are not real."

"I am-" He stepped forward but paused when I shook my head.

"No." I put my phone down and went towards my bathroom. "You've been on my mind since I came back from the club, and that's why I'm hallucinating you."

"I'm not real-real, but I'm-" Ignoring, I walked through him and went inside my bathroom. Slamming the door behind me, I leaned my back on it and sighed.

It's all my imagination.

Once I'll get him off my mind, he'll be gone.

For that, I have to pretend I don't see him.

I did my business in the bathroom and walked out to my kitchen, ignoring Finlay as he tried to talk to me. I could literally hear his sweet Scottish accent all day, but that will not help when I wanted to get him out of my mind.

I picked up my headphones and put them on at full volume to avoid his voice. When the song blared in my ears and blocked his voice. I nodded to myself and cooked pasta for my empty stomach.

After finishing my pasta, I turned towards my living room and saw Finlay glaring. I whirled my head the other way and went to sit on the couch. Switching on the TV, I changed the news channels to avoid Finlay's discussion and put a movie on.

"You're going to ignore me?" He asked, plopping beside me, and I kept my head straight. "I may not be able to touch things and you're the only one who can see me, but that doesn't mean I'm not real." He mumbled. Something tugged in my heart at the sadness in his voice, but I had to stay strong for my sanity. "You can't ignore me forever."

Forever?

I have to deal with him... forever?

I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts.

I won't let that happen.

I stuffed my mouth with pasta and felt his gaze on the side of my face. I cleared my throat and shifted into my position. It was getting hard to ignore his intense gaze. I mean, it's not every day a hot guy sat beside you and stares. Halfway through the movie, I heard him sigh. Maybe he gave up?

That was fast.

"Fine." I side glanced as he sat straight. "If you're going to ignore me, then I'm going to do everything in my power to make you acknowledge me." I frowned and snapped my eyes back to the screen.
