The entry to the maze closed trapping the two Hogwarts boys inside. Victor and Fleur still stood awaiting the cannon to go off announcing their entry.

The crowd cheers loudly as two bodies landed on the ground. Fleur and Moon moved closer to get a better look at the duo lying next to each other. Moon moved up to congratulate Harry and Cedric only to catch sight upon Cedric's cold, lifeless face. Harry clang onto him for dear life. Moon's stomach flipped a hand flew up to her mouth and a terrifying scream stumbled from her lips. Fleur was next to let out a heartbreaking scream, falling back a horrified look on her face.

The music rapidly halted, whispers echoed through the arena, many confused, others horrified. Cedric's father howled out a sickening scream from the stands as they attempted to pull Harry off Cedric's body. Dumbledore tried to reassure the petrified crying boy who continued to say 'he is back'.

Moon couldn't take it, her eyes were stuck upon the lifeless ones of the young Hufflepuff boy. She'd seen those eyes before, the ones that held no hope. Her aunt had those eyes.

She couldn't bring her sensors back as Professor Moody dragged Harry off, or as Amos clutched his dead son's body hoping that if he held him close enough he'd come back to life. His cries echoed through the deadly silent arena.

As the teachers escorted the crying, traumatised students off the field Moon still stood staring, it was like a car crash so appalling she couldn't look away. A pair of arms fell upon her shaking shoulders, Neville's face appeared in front, in a sense he looked frightened but still tended to Mackenzie before worrying about himself. He gently moved the blonde girl towards the exit giving as much comfort as he could give at the current time. They didn't say a word to each other just walked, side by side, hand in hand, back towards the school, as if they agreed not to speak a word about it. They followed the rest of the hysterical crowd in a robot manner back to the castle. They both seemed to know to make their way to the hospital wing. Entering they stepped in to only meet a dark, silent, barren room.

Harry had fallen asleep soon after, the day had been cruel to him. Moon sat in the hospital seat next to his bed reading one of the books Lupin and Sirius had recommended, she'd sent a letter to both of them as well as Mrs Weasley though she had a feeling everyone would already know by now. The book was good but didn't seem to distract her from the day. If Voldemort really was back what was to happen next. The whole wizarding world goes corrupt at just the mention of his name.

It was almost 6:00 am and nearly the whole of the Gryffindor house sat in the wing silently. Some feeling inside Moon made her feel it was her duty to look after Harry. The longer she sat there the more memories of the day flooded back.

Moon would get distracted every couple of minutes by Astreria and Donna who were resting next to each other.  Everyone was attempting to get the scene from their head, not a clue of what they would do if Voldemort really was back. Dean and Ginny wrote essays they hadn't complete, however, they would stop for a couple of seconds before wiping their tears and continuing on. Ron was next to Hermione who sat across from Harry watching and waiting for him to awake. Neville sat on the chair next to Moon resting his head on her shoulder and rubbing his thumb over her hand.  Seamus took his place in front of Dean on the floor shuffling a pack of cards he'd found in his pocket. She had a feeling Madam Pomfrey would kick them out if it weren't for the events of the day.

As everyone still sat next to Harry's bed not knowing where to go from there, Moon decided to give Dumbledore a visit to see what he do to help Harry. Cedric's death still played in the back of her mind, though with all her strength she pushed it away, she'd deal with the pain and torment another time, when she was ready to take it. Leaving the hospital wing Moon moved towards the headmaster's office. The corridors were empty everyone was either in bed or packing, as many of the parents wanted their kids home after hearing about the tragedy. Making her way to the stone gargoyle that guarded the entry to the old man's office. As if the stone statue knew it turned slowly revealing a set of stair, she climbed them before reaching a wooden door. Knocking softly she waiting for a reply, hearing a distant 'come in' she caught a deja vu. Opening the door she caught sight of the large frame of Madam Maxime.

"Madam Maxime, pardon, I was looking for Professor Dumbledore." Moon moved to leave before she noticed her old headmistress was staring off at one of the portraits on the wall.

"It's quite already, chére." Moon stared up at the smiling figure in the frame. A woman with a short bob cut of brown hair looked down at them, her honey eyes, her chocolate skin. She looked young, maybe even nineteen. She held such grace in her surroundings. She wore a yellow 1920's style beret. A dated broomstick clasped in one hand the other rested on top of the ratty old broom. There was lettering at the bottom of the frame, however, Moon could only make out the word 'Theo'. *hint to maybe an upcoming book*

"She is very beautiful."

"She was." There was a moment of silence as Moon realised what the woman meant. They both peered up at the picture. "We were good friends... The sad thing is that it's only now that I formed the courage to visit."

"I still haven't visited mum or dad's grave, you have more courage than me." Madam Maxime chuckled at what the girl said.

"I'm not the one fighting a war... I'm sorry about your friend, he did deserve to win."

"I wasn't that close but I still can't get my head around him being gone."

"Time can only help. See you around." Madam Maxime slowly walked out of the office leaving Moon inside to ponder. With one more glance at the teenager from the picture, Mackenzie turned around and left, struggling to suppress the thoughts of you-know-who's return and what it could mean for Harry and the wizarding world.

Sorry, my updates are getting further and further apart. I'm thinking about writing a book set before this one, so if you're up for it I might release it a bit after I'm finished with this one (which might be awhile by the rate I'm going). Writing character death is quite hard for me, it's hard to get emotions through a page, sorry if Cedric death seems quite blunt. Thank you for 15k!!!! The support has been amazing. Stay safe and cool my dudes! (might have grammar and spelling mistakes)
