strangers

Hermione and Draco are just strangers in this and not enemies. 

Readers pov: 

Hermione paced around Ginny's dormitory. Ginny's dorm mates were out and she was stressing out. 

"So you talk to this boy once and you've decided you're in love with him?" Ginny asked rolling her eyes at her good friend, "Do you even know his name? Because I certainly don't!" 

"Ginny it doesn't matter if I know his name or not, you were there when the conversation happened! We literally connected, he is just so amazing!" Hermione rambled on annoying Ginny even further. 

"All you talked about was how that boy in Hufflepuff was a complete dick and stuck up!" Ginny said, beginning to laugh.

"Ginny, he's handsome and ugh-!" Hermione said landing on her bed. 

"Anyways, he's completely rude to Harry- and oh yeah, and my dear brother!" Ginny said in an 'obvious' kind of tone. 

"I thought you were over your stupid crush on Harry Potter? Besides I'm not trying to be mean to your brother and Harry or anything but they don't want to be my friend so why should I care about who is rude to them?" Hermione said flipping a page in her book. 

"Fair point." Ginny said and this is when this conversation ended. 

¬the next day¬ 

"Ok goodbye Gin-" Hermione said stopping mid-sentence. Ginny followed her gaze and rolled her eyes. Hermione was staring directly at Draco Malfoy, her mouth slightly agape. 

"You've never noticed him until now and why is thi-" Ginny stopped noticing she wasn't listening and decided to just walk off and get to her next lesson. Hermione looked away as Seamus knocked into her. 

"Sorry, Hermione!" Seamus said before he reminded her that they had a lesson. 

"Hey Seamus, what's that boy's name yesterday? 'the boy in Slytherin'?" Hermione asked trying to prove Ginny wrong that she knew the name of him. 

"Hm not sure to be honest never spoke to him until yesterday!" Seamus said before turning to Dean, "What's his name?" 

"Oh, that's Malfoy. Draco Malfoy!" Dean said in a disgusted voice. Hermione looked down, Malfoy. That family was basically known for hating muggle-born witches and wizards. Maybe Draco was different?

Hermione kept zoning out during the lesson, which was extremely unlike her. All she had on her mind was Draco. As soon as Professor Snape dismissed them, she practically ran out. She ran out of the dungeons, zooming straight for the library. This was until she bumped into Malfoy. 

"Draco!" Hermione burst out looking at his gorgeous face in awe. 

"Uh, hi. Hermione, right?" Draco asked, not completely sure. 

"That's right!" Hermione beamed, ecstatic he knew her name.
