Jade's POV
"Jade, why do you have one of my sheets around your neck?" Perrie asked from the bed as I slipped in the bedroom door and hid behind it.
"It's clearly a cape. And I'm obviously a superhero. Duh." I rolled my eyes at her, fluffing my long red cape that was admittedly a bit too big for me.
"All I know is you better fold it back when you're done." She said.
"Laundry is for mortals." I replied.
She looked at me and opened her mouth to say something else, but closed it and turned her attention back to the movie she was watching.
I walked over and stood in front of her, ready to duck under the bed because I thought I heard Jaden coming.
"Jade, move!" She swatted her hand at me. "I can't see the tv. This is the good part!"
"Stop saying my name or you'll get me caught." I whispered, still staring at the door.
"If you don't get your ass out of my way, Jade!" She yelled.
"Shhh!" I whispered.
"She's right here, Jaden!" She yelled again and I gasped.
"Wow. Just wow." I looked down at her and shook my head. When I heard him shuffling in the hallway, I ducked under the bed.
"If you're a superhero, why are you even hiding in the first place?" She asked, groaning as she turned onto her side, still looking at the tv.
I tapped my chin. She raised a good point.
Why am I hiding? He's the villain, he should be hiding from me.
I shook my thoughts away and got up on my knees, rubbing her belly. It was getting so big. "Still uncomfortable?" I asked.
"Yes." She groaned again. "I feel wet."
"Is it the cape?" I grinned at her. "It's the cape, isn't it? Does Super Mommy get you hot?"
"Not like that, weirdo. Like the kind of heavy and wet you feel when you're coming from under water." She rolled her eyes and I laughed.
"Hey." I tapped lightly on her belly. "You guys behave in there. Mama's tired, which means Super Mommy's gonna be tired. And Super Mommy can't be tired because she's gotta keep Bat Boy from taking over the world." I looked up when I heard her laughing at me, and placed a light kiss on her belly.
"This is such a strange family." She smiled and shook her head.
"You just reminded me that he should be the one hiding from me. Now, if you'll excuse me." I stood up and straightened my cape. "Super Mommy is about to go kick some bad guy booty."
"I've got some intel you might want, Super Mommy." I looked down at her and she smiled.
"About the enemy?" I asked, still fully in character.
"Mhmm." She nodded and I cut my eyes at her, wondering if I should trust her, or if she was secretly working with him.
"I'm listening." I said, still squinting at her.
"Uh uh." She shook her head. "This isn't free intel. It's going to cost you."
"Well, how much is it gonna cost me?" I put my hands on my hips.
She licked her lips and my eyes followed. "One really really good kiss."
"Now that, I can do." I bit my lip and smiled, leaning down to passionately kiss her soft lips until we were both out of breath. "Good?"
