Perrie's POV

I shut the shower off and stepped out, closing the door behind me. Once I dried off and dried my hair, I threw on a pair of leggings and a large sweater. I was super excited to spend the evening with Jade, no matter what we ended up doing.

I know I shouldn't be exposing myself to so much hurt, knowing I didn't stand a chance in hell with this woman. Still, the heart wants what it wants. And my heart wanted more of Jade, in any way I could get her. So I would just have to settle for being friends.

I pulled my hair into a messy bun and left my bedroom. When I got to the top of the stairs I could hear Jade muttering things to herself about the Netflix selection. I giggled to myself at how adorable she was.

The further I got down the stairs the more her delicious scent filled my senses and I loved it. I noticed her signature was either strawberry or vanilla. This time it was vanilla. But whichever one she chose, she always smelled like cake and it made my mouth water.

"Hey, Pez." She looked away from the TV and smiled at me once I reached the bottom of the stairs.

She was lounging on the couch with both legs up. She also wore leggings and a crop top, exposing her flat stomach and her sexy abs. She sat upright and motioned for me to join her.

Damn, she's hot.

"Hey, Jade. What are you gonna watch?" I asked grabbing my book and sitting down next to her. Keeping a safe distance for my own sake.

"I don't know." She replied, chewing on her bottom lip. I tried so hard not to stare. They were just so plump, and they looked so soft. "I was thinking of watching something scary." She continued, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, you like scary movies?" I raised my brow.

"Oh no. I despise them." She replied instantly. "I feel like it would be easier to stomach though with someone here with me. Plus, something tells me you like scary movies." She smiled at me and I melted.

I returned her smile. "I actually do. I love them. I can just watch it with you in that case."

She looked excited. "Are you sure, Pez? I don't want to interfere with your reading."

I couldn't care less about a book right now. Jade was in my living room and I had the opportunity to spend the day with her.

"Oh please, I'd love to watch a scary movie!" I said, waving her off.

"Yay!" She squealed.

She was sitting on one side of the loveseat and I was on the other side, terrified to be any closer. She clicked on the movie Halloween H2O and instantly hit pause.

"We need movie snacks. Popcorn, sodas, and blankets. Have any of those lying around?" She asked.

I thought for a second. "Umm... I have blankets up in my room, and I think there are sodas and popcorn in the kitchen."

She jumped up off the couch. "Cool, I'll get snacks, you get the blankets?"

"Okay, I'll be right back." I replied.

I watched her skip off to the kitchen and my heart warmed. I smiled to myself. How could anyone not fall head over heels in love with her? I didn't even have a choice.

I turned and headed for my bedroom. The realization suddenly hit me that Jade's body was about to be wrapped up in one of my blankets and I blushed, purposely designating my favorite blanket as hers.

I came back downstairs to the smell of popcorn and singing coming from the kitchen. I smiled and sat back in my place on the sofa waiting for Jade.
