Jade's POV
I woke up and turned my head to see my blonde beauty, but the other side of our bed was empty. Jaden was on my back, but Perrie was nowhere to be seen. She must've been making breakfast or something.
Deciding to let Jaden sleep in a bit longer, I carefully rolled him over and tucked him in. After kissing his forehead, I slid my feet into my slippers and walked out of the room, yet again expecting to see my baby, but got nothing. I began to get concerned as I searched all of the rooms in the apartment to find that there was only me and Jaden here.
My heart started to race and panic washed over me as my mind automatically went to the worst case scenario. I shuffled back to the room to get my phone and was about to try to call her, when I saw a text from her a few hours ago on my screen.
Good morning J'adore,
You looked so beautiful and peaceful this morning, so I didn't want to wake you and J. I'm going out to meet up with my cousin. I'll be back soon and we can all snuggle and watch movies. I love you guys. ❤️I smiled and instantly relaxed. Thank god. I tossed my phone back onto the bed and went to make Jaden and I some lunch, since we had slept right through breakfast. I made a couple of grilled cheeses, and then went to wake him up.
"Where's Pewwie, mommy?" Jaden asked as I cleaned up our plates.
"She went to play with her cousin, bub." I replied, ruffling his hair.
Suddenly a sad look washed over his face, and it made my heart sink.
"How come she didn't take us? She didn't want to pway with us anymore?" He frowned and looked down.
I quickly scooped him into a hug. "No, bub. Of course she still wants to play with us. She just didn't want to wake us up."
He smiled. "Oh. Pewwie's so sweet, mommy." I giggled, wondering where the hell he got that from. He wasn't wrong though.
"Yeah she really is, baby." I kissed his head, and my heart swelled thinking of her again. "Let's go get cleaned up, yeah? She promised us cuddles and movies when she gets back!"
He gasped excitedly. "Is it my turn to pick the movies, mommy?"
"It sure is." I smiled down at him in my lap.
I got up and gave him a bath. After he had his bath, I wrapped him in his towel with the hood and gave him a couple of toys. I told him to sit on the toilet and play with them while I had a quick shower, and he did. Something about him not being in my sight at all times, or at least with someone I trusted didn't sit right with me.
When I finished, I wrapped myself in a towel, scooped him up and took us to my room to get dressed. Of course I had to fight him and pin him down to put lotion on him and brush his hair. He screamed bloody murder the entire time. I know his throat had to hurt and the neighbors were probably already on the phone with the cops. Jesus, the kid has a set of chops on him.
The time was now nearly 4pm and Jaden and I were lounging on the couch watching cartoons. I had yet to hear anything from Pez, so I picked up my phone and called her number. It rang for a bit and then went to voicemail. Maybe she's still chatting with her cousin and she left her phone in the car.
I got a bit of an uneasy feeling, but I just shook it off. Probably just my paranoia getting the better of me. I went back to watching cartoons and playing in Jaden's hair.
Soon 6pm rolled around and still nothing from her. This time Jaden noticed too. "Mommy, why isn't Pewwie home yet? We're apposed to snuggle."
"I don't know, baby. Let's try calling her again." I called her number again and got the same thing.
