Prepare

While she was showering I went downstairs to smoke.

I got to the kitchen and lit up my cigarette.

I was in deep thoughts.

I can't like her, nope.

But at the same time, she makes me feel different...

Fuck! Stop thinking about her, I just felt bad... nothing else!

But I never feel anything...for anyone.

Ugh, snap out of it. I had to get to work, I took 2 days off because of what happened, and Derek was probably tired of being in charge.

I put on my tux jacket and right as I was about to leave out the door, Jade started walking down the stairs.

"Where are you going?" She asked while raising an eyebrow at me.

Her hair was wet and she looked so.. natural without makeup.

"Work" I replied while not looking at her, but looking for my keys.

"K..." she said confused, and continued walking down the stairs.

I then headed out and got in my car.

I got to the main base, then headed inside.

I went straight to my office only to find Derek sitting on my chair, rubbing his forhead im stress.

"You good?" I said in a cold tone.

"No, I'm not fucking good Kylo. Kai recovered, he didn't die. He still has permission and access to the main base, he could come in anytime he wants. I tried to tell the guards and workers to change the locks, and not let Kai in anymore, but they only take commands from you, this what I have been stressing over these passed few days."

I exhaled loudly, then proceeded to call my assistant, Natalie.

"Natalie!" I yelled, trying to get her to come.

"Yes Mister Allas?" She said while walking through the door.

"Change all the locks in the building, Kai Lopez should no longer have access in the building, nor anything that has to do with my mafia." - I demanded.

"Yes sir" she said and walked out.

I looked back over at Derek who was just staring in shock.

"It was that easy?!" He yelled.

I couldn't help but chuckle.

The day was over, finally time to head home.

I hopped in my car and headed straight to the house.

Jade's POV:

It had been hours, Kylo was at work meanwhile I was doing some schoolwork.

I was dressed in the comfiest clothes I could find.

Soon after, Kylo came home.

I heard the front door open so I knew someone had came.

I jogged downstairs and looked at the front door. Yep it was him.

He took off his jacket and headed straight for the couch.

He slammed onto the sofa and turned to me with a sleepy voice.

"There's a ball tomorrow at 8, be ready. The guards will take you shopping." - he said while closing his eyes.

Well great, a ball is exactly what I needed right now.

"Ugh, fine" I said as I walked over to the kitchen to grab a snack.

I found an apple so I just decided to sit on the counter and scroll through my phone while eating it.

I glanced back at Kylo, he was dead asleep on the couch.

A smile escaped my lips while I just stared over at him.

He was still in his work clothes which were uncomfortable and too cold to sleep in, so I grabbed a blanket and went over to him.

I gently laid the blanket on him, not trying to wake him up. He looked exhausted.

It was so quiet and there was only a light coming from the hallway and one from a lamp, making it kinda dark.

As soon as I laid the blanket on him, out of nowhere he grabbed my arm.

"Boo" he whispered with a humongous grin on his face.

I literally jumped.

I gasped. "Fuck you!" I couldn't help but laugh at my stupid self.

He also let out a chuckle before closing his eyes again.

I left the living room with a slight smile on my face.

I headed back upstairs and immediately went to bed since I was also exhausted.
