Gabriel's POV continued (two days later)

I want to go back. In fact, I never wanted to f*****g leave in the first f*****g place. Now I'm back here, unable to tell anyone where I went, not that anyone asked. Sang dropped me back to the diner at almost one in the morning a few days ago, she parked, I felt the door open and a breeze on my side, but she didn't touch me once. As soon as I was out of the car the door was yanked out of my grasp and then there was a whoosh of air in front of me. I ripped my blind fold off, and ear plugs out instantly, but the Land rover was already pulling out of the car park. I was back at the diner like nothing had ever happened. Like my world hadn't been turned upside down, like I hadn't just met any of them.

I drop into one of the s****y chairs at our table. Everything seems muted here, like the colour has been drained out of life. BANG. I wince, F*****G North. His been in the garage basically since the Luke 'incident'. Luke's name hasn't been mentioned in the house, if anyone talks about 'the incident' it is referred to as 'the incident' and Luke's referred to as 'him' most of the time. No one can get North out of the f*****g garage. Kayli tried (once) and Silas tried many times, it hasn't worked. I can tell from here that he starting to dismantle the Jeep, again, the loud clanking is a good indication. I glace at the side holding our glass recycling, there's over twenty Jack Daniels bottles littering it. I would say that nineteen of them are probably Norths, I don't say all because I saw one of the Henshaw twins drinking as well. Normally it's f*****g Brandon that drinks, out of those two, but I'm pretty certain that this twin had a f*****g computer under his arm making it way more likely to be Corey. WTF is going on a round here?

"Gabey baby bear!" a voice whines from the other side of the door. Oh s**t how do I hide from this? Too late. "Gabriel," her voice continues whining, "Why didn't you answer me?" she tries to say with a pout, and I do my best not to wince as I shrug at her, pretending to look at my phone. "Gabriel Colman! Get up we are going shopping, Viccy's coming to pay so you just have to make sure it fits!" I wince fully this time, luckily, she's turned away and doesn't see. It awful seeing any of my brothers used as money bags. And Viccy? What the actual f**k? It's almost as bad as her whining with every sentence. I swear this never used to bother me that much. Vic appears behind her and she sends him a simpering smile. He grins, slightly goofily back at her, that is not Vic's f*****g smile, his eyes seem dim as well as if someone turned the fire setting down in them. How can I get out of this? Uncle! He might need me for a shift! Please say he needs me for a shift!

"Sorry no can do," her face goes into the expression of fake crying, "I've got a shift at the dinner!" they go from fake tears to slightly, in my opinion, cruel laughter in a second, all it establishes to me is that the disappointment wasn't really real. It sends a shudder down my spine

"Oh, you silly boy, Uncle won't mind if you're coming to help me!" she sings out, yes, he would Kayli; if I was actually working..."Don't you want to take me shopping!" she flutters her eye lashes, in what I'm sure she thinks is stunning way, but actually now looks like she's trying too hard. I have to fight another shudder as she stalks up to me, her hips swinging, she stops inches from me and leans forward, closer and closer. Her eyes close her hands coming to my shoulders as she moves her lips towards mine. How the f**k do I avoid this? Closer. I don't want to f*****g kiss her! I inch my way back a touch praying for someone to get me the f**k out of here.

There is only one person I want near my lips I realise as her breath hits my face, now I can see the makeup covering her face. A thick layer that hides her genuine natural beauty and changes her into something of a witch or a f*****g clown. She's millimetres away when my phone rings. Thank f****g god! I pull away, quickly scooping my phone out, an unknown number is shown. Kayli stumbles and almost falls, the silly smile turning to a scowl. She snatches my phone out my hands but doesn't say anything, I wince I have a good idea of who that could be, if it's Uncle I might get away with it, but Luke said he would call, and Uncle has no reason to be calling me right now. I wait for her to start screaming at me when a high-pitched noise comes from the phone. She almost drops it in shock shoving it back at me. I have to hide my smile.
