Chapter 5

Logan's POV
I really wasn't in the mood for this party, Hunter has really started to annoy me lately, even tho we have known each other since we started kindergarten, he seems to think I'm stupid, and that I'm happy to get into any fights to save his butt, I'm just getting bored of being lonely all the time, he seems to think it's great to have a different girl each week and don't get me wrong it was fun but I think I want something more, and the girl Ruby might just be the one but I have a feeling Hunter has his eyes on her and it's more than just the bet, I always get forgotten I'm just not as loud as Hunter and Axel.
As I was off in my little world, hands appeared round my waist " Hay there sexy, want some fun" the girl drunkenly slurred, " Not really, please get off me" I said trying to release myself from her, "Mel, get your arms off me" I huffed,I pushed her back just as Ruby came over to me
"You ok?, you don't look that happy"
" I'm so......bored......of this" pointing to Mel who was trying to attach herself to someone else.
Ruby grabbed my hand and we walked out the house grabbing jackets on the way out,
" Is there a park or something near by,"
"Actually, my house is round the corner, we can go and sit in the back garden, it has heaters" I said with a smile. We were still holding hands, I didn't really want to move or say something in case she had forgotten.

Ruby's POV

Logan looked like a lost puppy getting attacked by a pit bull aka Mel. He was cute with his dark hazel eyes and blonde just out of bed hair, he must have been 6'5 he was definitely taller than Axel and Hunter and more built, he definitely spent time in the gym. The one thing I noticed about him this evening he looked lonely even in a room filled with people just how I felt really. I want to get to know him, everyone seemed to have opinions on Axel and Hunter but no one knew much about Logan just that he was the quiet one, and I like the quiet mystery men so here I am in his back garden under a blanket with a vodka and coke, giggling like a school girl, well I am one.
"So how was your first week"
" Well I managed to piss off the " bad boys" I said with a smirk and air quotes " and I think the head barbie cheerleader wants to kill me, so.... great" I said laughing
"You didn't piss me off, you have just annoyed Hunter which means we have to make your life hell now" he said with a smile
"Hay" I said whilst hitting in the arm " It's not my fault, you guys were staring at me and I don't like rumours and whispering"
"Well sorry Princess, that's how school life goes"
I roll my eyes, " You never seem to be in class, why is that, I have seen Axel and Hunter"
"Promise you won't tell" he said whilst looking at his drink
"Yeah ok"
"I'm taking advanced classes, I think you would call them, I find the work to easy"
" So you have the brains and the looks, I'm surprised you are single" I said smiling at him
He looks up with a sad smile " That's the problem, because I was friends with Axel and Hunter everyone just thought I was the same as them, at first it was fun but it's actually very lonely"
He looked so lonely and sad. I move closer to him, " Well I would like to get to know the real you" I said with a big smile
" Really, thanks, then first I need to tell you about the bet" "I already know about it, I was trying to think of a way to annoy Hunter into thinking he is going to win but I really can't be bothered anymore"
" Oh ok"
" anyway it's getting late or should I say early, I need to get a taxi" I said getting up
" I can drive you, I only had this one drink"

" So this is my place" I turned to him and kissed his cheek,
" See you Monday Logan"

Ruby's POV
My phone went off
Unknown: thanks for last night, it meant a lot see you Monday Princess xx
How did Logon get my number
Ruby: 😊 glad you enjoyed yourself, so does that mean your my Prince?😉
Unknown/Logan: I will be anything you want xx

I completely forgot about Lucy and the others last night
Ruby: Lucy, sorry I disappeared last night, did you guys have fun.?
Lucy: we had so much fun, where did you disappear to
Ruby: I made a new friend, I kinda like him
Lucy: What, it better not be Hunter
Ruby: it's not
Lucy: Good, I would say let's meet up but I'm busy all weekend, so we will catch up Monday x
