ONCE UPON A TIME, IN A SPACESHIP FAR, FAR AWAY. . . Lyra Jupiter was sentenced to die twice. Amidst ink-black shadow and molten starlight, she was delivered to a radioactive planet. Expendable, they had called her. Fated for death.
And yet, against all odds, she survived.
A star girl abandoned, forced among bloodthirsty wolves and raging battles, though still she rises. Once she held the stars in her hands, was light embodied, and galaxies sung her name. But nothing lasts forever and though Earth was not the radioactive wasteland they thought it was, the sun is scorching and there is no running from the fights it comes with. Cycles of ash-burned ground and blood-soaked dirt as a little girl is forced from war to war without end.
Thus Lyra is forced to learn one more thing about stories; happily ever after is not guaranteed. . .
. . . and monsters and heroes are not so different after all.
