OWENS POV
I want to marry Amelia. I've always wanted to marry Amelia. Amelia is the one person who has always been there for me. She's the person I love most in this world. She's the person I want to be my wife and the person I want to have my children. We haven't been dating for super long but she has been my best friend for years and I know she's the one. I have a ring. I'm super nervous to propose because she could say no. She could feel it's too soon and I would understand. We're going over to Meredith's for Bailey's birthday. All of her family will be there, and it would be a good time to do it. I talked to her mom and she gave me permission to propose.
"Owen!" Amelia called from the bathroom.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Come here," She said. I opened the bathroom door and she was standing in front of the mirror in a sundress. She was so pretty.
"How does this look?" She asked.
"I think you look beautiful," I said.
"Okay," she smiled and kissed me, "I love you."
"I love you too," I said. I finished getting ready and I slipped the ring into my pocket with my phone.
"Owen where did we put Bailey's present?" Amelia asked.
"It's downstairs on the bench," I said.
"Okay cool," she said.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
"Yup," she said. We drove over to Meredith's and the kids were all in the backyard playing. They were so cute.
"Aunt Amelia!" Bailey giggled as he ran inside, "come outside!"
"Okay okay," Amelia chuckled as she let Bailey pull her outside. She was so good with them. She was so good with kids. It made me smile so much.
"Are you doing it today?" Carolyn asked as she walked over to me. Meredith and Maggie were already outside with the kids.
"Yeah," I said, "I have the ring."
"She loves you so much," Carolyn said, "take good care of her, you're really good for her Owen."
"I'll take good care of her I promise," I said. We walked outside and Amelia was on the swings with Zola. She was so cute.

AMELIAS POV
"Are you and Uncle Owen getting married?" Zola asked.
"What?" I chuckled, "not right now we're not."
"Well when you do you have to wear a big white dress," she giggled.
"I'll wear a white dress just for you," I said.
"Yay!" She giggled. She got off the swing and ran over to Ellis and I chuckled. I saw Owen come over to me. I patted the swing next to me and he chuckled.
"I'll break the swing," he said.
"No you won't," I said, "Derek used to swing with the kids all the time."
"Fine," he chuckled. He sat down next to me and I smiled. I loved Owen so much. I reached out and he squeezed my hand.
"The kids are so cute," I said.
"I know," Owen smiled, "you're cuter with them."
"So are you, they adore you," I said.
"I love you," Owen said.
"I love you too," I said. We all went inside and Bailey opened up his birthday presents and Meredith got the cake ready with candles.
"Bailey time to sing happy birthday and blow out some candles!" Meredith said. Bailey ran into the kitchen and Maggie grabbed a chair for him. We all sang happy birthday and he looked so happy. It was really nice to see the kids smiling again.
"Okay buddy blow out the candles," Meredith said. Everyone clapped and I smiled. I felt Owen grab my hand and I turned and he was on one knee.
"Oh my god," I said.
"Amelia," Owen started, "You are my best friend and my girlfriend. I love you more than anything in the world. These past months have shown me how much I love you, and how much I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, will you marry me? "
"Yes! Oh my god yes!" I smiled. He slid the ring on my finger and I hugged him tightly and kissed him.
"Oh my god congrats!" Meredith smiled and hugged us. I looked at Zola.
"Did you know?" I chuckled.
"No, but I told you that you should marry him!" She giggled. I saw my mom and she smiled.
"Congratulations honey," she said and hugged me.
"Thanks mom," I smiled.
"I wanna be in the wedding!" Bailey announced.
"Me too!" Zola said.
"Me three!" Ellis said.
"You can all be in the wedding," I chuckled.
-
We were all leaving and I grabbed Owen's hand. It didn't feel real. We were getting married! I got in his car and I smiled.
"We're you surprised?" He chuckled.
"Yes," I chuckled, "it was a very good surprise."
"I know you don't like surprises and all but," Owen chuckled.
"It was perfect Owen," I said and leaned in and kissed him.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said. We drove home and I unlocked the door and kicked my shoes off and I felt Owen grab my waist.
"Wanna go upstairs?" He asked as he kissed my neck.
"There's a perfectly good couch here," I giggled and turned around and kissed him passionately. He picked me up as we walked over to the couch.
"I love you," I said as he started kissing my neck.
"I love you too," he said.
