04. ghost hunting

[ 𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 ]

after your encounter with chongyun and him helping you a few days ago you've been trying to heal as quickly as possible. you wanted to go our and just help people out as soon as you could and make people's days better.

you stayed in bed sleeping a lot, eating proper meals, reading, lots of things. of course you still got up and took walks around the place but it just wasn't as much as you used to after the encounter with the treasure hoarders.

who knows if those guys are gonna come back and actually chase you down the next time you meet them. the thought of it was a not very settling so playing it safe seemed much better for you.

after a few days you were feeling better than ever and started off by getting up as early as possible and leaving as soon as you could. you headed straight towards the adventurers guild to check out what commissions were going on and started making your way to those marked areas

the commissions you had this time were fairly easy and simple to do, easy things such as playing pirates with some kids, giving people some materials, and things like sabotaging slime balloons. you were pleased with the amount of time taken to complete the commissions and decided to head back to the luyue harbor to collect your daily rewards and some expedition rewards.

once receiving all of these you headed down and decided to stroll around the harbor more to see what it's like, the different stands set up everywhere. what they sell, how the stand looks, it was all fascinating once you actually look more in depth of it.

you started looking at the stands one by one and kept on walking and walking. the stands eventually stopped showing and you were in more of an area where the ships would be, boats and things like that.

you saw a light blue haired figure in your view and immediately knew it was chongyun. you ran over to him and greeted him. he looked up at you and smiled before saying, "oh hey y/n" you replied, "hi chongyun! whatcha doing here?"

"well ive been gathering a few clues about sights of evil spirits roaming all throughout liyue" he said, "oh! can i help?" you asked. "i don't need you to help me, you can continue with what you're doing" you shook your head and replied, "i don't have anything else to do so might as well help you!"

he looked at you for a moment before sighing, "alright fine i guess you can"

"so these kind of events are supposed to be enjoyed by humans?" chongyun asked you as the two of you were walking to take the test of courage in qingce village as a pair. "yep! people have fun here and do what the test says, test their courage!"

he slowly nodded his head like he understood what you were saying but in reality he still didn't truly understand why people would go to a place filled with cursed spirits and scare theirselves.

after taking the potion that was needed to drink before entering the eerie place you and chongyun walked in the place and noticed the atmosphere. it was very dark and more quiet, you could hear the other couples and pairs in the place talking or shouting.

"hey i heard a scream from over here! they must've encountered the evil spirit!" chongyun said before he pointed towards the direction, "uh... alright guess ill go over there first" you responded. "ill be here to make sure that the evil spirit doesn't get spooked by me." you nodded your head and went over towards the sound you heard.

while over there you saw a couple just playing small pranks on each other while walking through the the place,

"some type of ghost hunting this is. isn't it?"
