21. the wanmin restaurant

[ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐌𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓 ]

chongyun and xingqiu were making their way to the wanmin restaurant and were thinking of what to order there. chongyun was thinking of some of those good old nice cold noodles with mountain delicacies. the exact same dish he tried to recreate for you to eat when you were sick because he thought that you mightve enjoyed them just like he did.

clearly it wasn't that well made but it matters about the effort put into it, right? he still tried his best to recreate it as best as possible but due to his lack of experience in cooking, it didn't seem to turn out as well in the end.

as the two finally arrived at wanmin restaurant they made their way to the stand next to it before xiangling came out and greeted the pair. "hey guys! do you want the discount again?" xiangling asked. xingqiu looked up and smiled at her, "hi xiangling, if we could then yes that would be nice"

chongyun looked up after xingqiu spoke to xiangling and spoke up, "can i get the usual?" xiangling looked at chongyun and nodded, "of course! how did it go with y/n and making those muntain delicacies?"

xingqiu scoffed a bit before chongyun gave him a look. "it wasn't that bad" he replied. xingqiu was covering mouth and trying to cover his laugh at the same time. xiangling noticed this and smiled a bit, "are you sure about that?" chongyun looked at her and sighed. "very"

xingqiu jabbed him in the shoulder before he admitted it to xiangling. "okay, well, maybe it wasn't the best but i still made the noodles!"

"while you were making them next to me, i took one look and saw how discolored it was, what are you talking about" xingqiu said. "i- i don't know what you're talking about" chongyun replied. xiangling was giggling at the two before she asked xingqiu what he wanted to order. he had ended up ordering some jewelry soup

once both of their food was done, xiangling brought it out and sat across from the two. "so how have you guys been?" she asked. "okay i guess" xingqiu replied, "you?" xiangling smiled, "ive been good as well! what about you chongyun?" xiangling asked.

chongyun gave a fake laugh before changing the topic, "oh well, uh, haha man! these noodles taste really good xiangling! how'd you make them??"

xiangling looked at chongyun and raised an eyebrow "didn't i already teach you how to? so you can make them for y/n?" xiangling questioned. "huh? oh uh... about that!" chongyun said. "go on" xiangling replied. "it didn't go too well but they still ate it!" chongyun stated. xiangling then laughed at him. "well i was kind of expecting that to happen" xiangling responded.

"speaking of which, where did you even meet y/n, chongyun?" xiangling asked. "oh uh that... uh... i think that i was on an island and was just resting there before somebody just flew over and then uh yeah"

"oh, well that sounds interesting" xiangling replied. "it was really random, i was kinda surprised by it" chongyun added on. xiangling laughed, "i bet it was"

the three continued to talk to each other while xingqiu and chongyun finished their food.

"hey xiangling, how'd you meet y/n?" chongyun asked. xiangling looked up and thought for a bit before speaking, "im pretty sure we met back in mondstadt!"

"oh, never thought youd meet them in mondstadt" chongyun said. "they were pretty nice when i first met them! turns out we're still friends now" xiangling responded. "well that's nice" chongyun stated. "sure is!" xiangling replied.

"chongyun, are you gonna finish those noodles of yours?" xingqiu asked. chongyun looked at him and then his noodles, "oh, uh, of course! ill eat it right now!"

in the end they were all just talking and laughing in the end before the sun started to set.
