I want to die.
I genuinely want to die. This is so embarrassing.
As Dad completely ignores all the senators and attempts to talk to Pepper and me, I slump further down in my chair. This is awful.
"Mr. Stark, could we pick up now where we left off? Mr. Stark. Please.", Senator Stern, a rather unpleasant man, calls Dad's attention.
Dad's head snaps around, "Yes dear?"
So funny (note the use of sarcasm).
"Can I have your attention?", Senator Stern asks.
"Absolutely."
"Do you or do you not possess a specialized weapon?"
"I do not.", Dad answers.
"You do not?", Stern raises his eyebrows.
"I do not.", Dad confirms, "Well, it depends on how you define the word weapon."
"The Iron Man weapon."
"My device does not fit that description.", Dad insists.
"Well... How would you describe it?", asks Stern.
"I would describe it by defining it as what it is, Senator."
"As?"
"It's a high-tech prosthesis. That is- That is- That's actually the most apt description I can make of it.", the crowd all laugh.
I would rather be anywhere in the world than here. Seriously, I would rather be in Florida. Literally Florida.
"It's a weapon. It's a weapon, Mr. Stark.", Stern declares.
"Please, if your priority was actually the well-being of the American citizen-"
"My priority is to get the Iron Man weapon turned over to the people of the United States of America."
