✿Chapter 2: Beyond Corona✿

"Oh, I feel horrible about Eugene. I- I do love him, and I want to marry him someday. But not like this!" She said you and Cassandra shared a look, "Uhg, I need to get out and clear my head... Without a fleet of guards tailing me." She said.

Cassandra stood up, "Say no more."

Cassandra opened a dresser, inside was a massive amount of weapons.

Rapunzel smiled, "Woah! Where's the war?" She chuckled. You laughed at her joke.

Cassandra took off her headdress, "Well when your dad is Captain of the Guards, you tend to collect... stuff." Cassandra pulled a knife from her headdress, Rapunzel reached into the dresser and grabbed a metal ball, while you looked at a knife. The ball in Rapunzel's hands made a clinging noise before shooting spikes out of it, Rapunzel quickly dropped it to the ground. She then looked down at it nervously before she picked it up and carefully placed it back in the dresser, then grabbed two black cloaks, so you would be able to disguise yourselves when you left. She handed you one and you put it on.

"I have a feeling this is gonna be fun." She turned to look at the green chameleon standing next to to the fireplace, "Pascal, I need you to stay here and make sure no one knows we're gone." Pascal saluted Rapunzel and sent you a look that you assumed was a grin.

Cassandra opened a door and walked into the room, her green lantern lit up the dark space.

Rapunzel grinned before shutting the door behind you. You glanced up and saw Cassandra moving a box out of the way of a tapestry. She then moved the tapestry and revealed an old-looking passageway in the wall.

"Is that a secret passage?" Rapunzel asked, very loudly before moving the tapestry, causing it to fall on Cassandra. You grabbed one end of the tapestry and pulled it off Cassandra.

"It was... before you announced it to the whole cast-" Cassandra stopped before looking at the passageway, "Rapunzel?" She asked.

You smirked, "Wow, she wants out."

Cassandra went down the passageway first, followed by you. You heard the sound of a metal grate moving up ahead. Soon both you and Cassandra were out of the passageway.

"That was so fun!" Rapunzel whispered a little too loudly.

Cassandra turned around and put the grate back on the wall, "I'm like to take this opportunity to remind you that we're supposed to be sneaking out." She said.

"Cass, I think you'll discover that I can be sneaky when I need to. Rapunzel said before getting tackled by Cass and pulled behind a building, you followed quickly.

Cassandra glanced out at a group of guards passing by, "Nightly patrols. We can get by them if we time it right."

Rapunzel glanced over at the woman suspiciously, "Wait. How did you know they were coming?" She asked.

"I have eyes in the sky." She said before reaching her arm up, an owl hooted before landing on her arm.

"That is amazing! You have your own owl?" Rapunzel smiled, speaking too loudly once more.

You smiled too, "What's his name?"

Cassandra sent you a look that seemed to be a mix of 'are you dumb?' and 'it's obvious' before saying, "Owl." She lifted her arm in the air, the owl flew off and Cassandra made a clicking noise. A horse's head peaked up from behind a barrel.

"Max!" Rapunzel said surprised, you were just as surprised, after all, he was a palace horse.

Cassandra nodded, "Yeah when he heard I was sneaking you out, he insisted he come along." Max let out a snort, "And between you and me, I think he's got something for you know who." Cassandra motioned for you to follow her towards the docks. She shot an arrow, that had a rope tied to it, across the river. You all got in a little boat and Cassandra pulled you across the river
