Chapter 24

"Are you ready?" I asked Sam beside me.

Today is the day that we'll attend the music concert that I'm talking about. It's a 2 hour drive from our home and Papa let us borrow our car for convenience.

Inaayos ni Sam ang mga pagkaing dala namin sa kotse nang tanungin ko sya. It's still 4am and we're ready to go to catch for sunrise before heading out.

Sinaraduhan nya ang pintuan ng backseat bago lumapit sa akin. He smiled before pulling the hem of my jacket so it can cover my body well.

"Very excited." he said giving me a soft kiss.

Nag-init ang pisngi ko bago sumulyap sa bahay para tingnan kung nasa labas sina Mama. I heard Sam chuckled.

I glared at him.

"Let's just enjoy this day." aniya. Ngumiwi ako bago tumango. Hinila nya ako papalapit para yakapin saglit.

When he let go, he's already smiling. Taka ko syang tiningnan.

"What? Why are you happy? Wala pa nga e." I said spoiling the moment.

Sam ruffle my hair.

"I just can't believe that I am spending this with my dream girl."

"Dream girl?" I asked while feeling my heart skipping a beat.

"Yes. If only I had two hearts, I will fall for you twice."

Napakurap ako. My heart pounded inside my chest widlly that I almost forgot how to breathe. Humalakhak sya bago ako hinila papasok na sa kotse.

"Kilig ka?" pang-aasar nya. Sinapak ko ang braso nya.

"Gulat lang."

"Sus, kinilig ka e. Ayos lang yan. Aaraw-arawin natin." he winked and I almost rolled my eyes.

Nagsimula kaming bumayahe. I played my playlist and scroll down the window beside me to feel the morning air. Napangiti ako ng salubungin ang masarap na simoy ng hangin habang nakiking sa musika.

"I get so weak in the knees
I can hardly speak
I lose all control
And something takes over me."

Napatingin ako kay Sam ng bigla nyang sabayan ang kanta. Lumawak ang ngisi ko bago umayos ng upo at tumingin sa kanya para sabayan sya sa pagkanta.

I acted like a child who excitedly anticipated for the song.

"In a daze, your love's so amazing
It's not a phase I want you to stay with me
By my side, I swallow my pride

It knocks me right off of my feet
Can't explain why your love, it makes me weak."

I smiled and he winked at me. Kinuha nya ang kamay ko bago dahan dahang dinala sa labi nya. I watched him kissed my knuckles before looking at me appreciatively.

I feel so happy that my heart hurts.

"I appreciate you." he whispered. Lumapit ako sa kanya bago niyakap sya patagiild. He chuckled before kissing the top of my head.

"I love you too." I uttered.

And that's how we started our almost perfect day.
