'Fruity'

Why is it that every single time i see a male character or even a real person being JUST A TAD BIT 'feminine' or whatever, the comments are filled with 'thats a lil fruity💅🏼✨' or smtg similar. Like its fine if they really are 'fruity' as you'd call it or gay or anything similar.

But what if if ur not. Obv its fine if you are gay or non-binary and all that jazz but doesnt calling a male whos just soft or for example look androgynous 'fruity' or 'they def use they/them' sound slightly..idk..wrong? Like ok just because theyre not ur typical muscle and dominating dude doesnt make them any less straight. THEY CAN BE STRAIGHT. Im sorry if this sounds like im oppressing them or whatever bcs they dont have oppression but it feels off to me. Just because they wore a crop top doesnt mean they're identifying as a gender that has feminine traits. I keep seeing posts, videos, tiktoks etc abt for example two guys BEING FRIENDS and maybe just hugging or smtg or being close and tge comments are FILLED with ppl either shipping them romantically or smtg related to hinting that the commenter (commenter???) has a suspicion theyre gay but in a nice way(?). If those two guys didnt see the other that way, isnt there a possibility they might feel awkward abt it or are not fine with it?

It applies with females too. Just because theyre more dominating or have a boyish look to them could still mean they are cis or straight. Unless the person themselves says so otherwise, i feel like its not right to 'label' or 'call' them as a sexuality or gender that they are not. What if i want to appear more 'masculine' and identify as a straight cis woman but people insist that im 'probably bi'. Its not an insult but just a fact that i am indeed straight.

Like just because someone has a trait that goes against your definition of a 'traditional' male or female doesnt magically make them a sexuality or gender they are not. If they identify as something else thats fine. You do u babe. Didnt we all agree to not assume? Then whats this??? Didnt we agree clothes have no gender? I feel like i phrased this all wrong bcs of my poor choice of words

But im not saying assume a males pronoun is 'he/him' or a females 'she/her'. All im saying is dont assume at all. Also not everyone in the world 'cares' about their own pronouns and that could be because not everyone speaks english and a lot of languages have neutral pronouns. Like my national language uses neutral gendered ways to address another person.
