"Stop lying to me!" Akari gasped indignantly, narrowing her eyes at me. I just sighed.

It was the Monday after the weekend and Akari had still not let go of the fact that I had decided to ditch the dance with Kuroo.

She said she didn't mind so much that I left her there alone, but more that I wasn't telling her what was going on between Kuroo and I and what we had really done after leaving the dance. Akari was smart, I'd give it to her.

"I'm not lying," I try to give her my best poker face, "I already told you, all that happened was Kuroo dropped me home and I had a boring movie night with my mom."

"Y/n," Akari said in all seriousness, "Every time you lie, your nose grows a little."

I subconsciously brought a hand to my normal sized nose, groaning, "Let it go, Akari. There is nothing going on between me and Kuroo."

"You should believe her."

I jumped, startled by the sound of Kuroo's voice coming from right behind me. I turned around to find him leaning against the lockers, looking down at Akari and I.

"How long have you been there?" I hissed.

"Long enough," Kuroo yawned, and then looked at Akari, "For real though, y/n and I are just friends."

"And not even that," I added.

Akari looked between the two of us, a disbelieving expression on her face. Eventually, she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Alright, I'm going to take your word for it," She hummed.

"That's good," Kuroo smirked, "So now tell us, how'd it go with you and Kenma at the dance?"

Akari shot me a murderous look, "You told him?"

I rolled my eyes, "I didn't tell him anything."

"She didn't," Kuroo covered for me again, "The whole world knows about your crush on Kenma."

"What?!" Akari shrieked, and then covered her mouth with her hands, "That was loud, but what? Is it that obvious?"

"Yeah," Kuroo and I both spoke up at the same time, our eyes holding contact for a brief moment as a small smile tugged at my lips.

Akari looked pained, "So everybody knows... except Kenma himself?"

"Pretty much," Kuroo nodded, "You should really try talking to him."

"Like I'm going to take love advice from you," Akari blurt out, but instantly regret, her eyes widening, and I had to appreciate her guts for saying that. Kuroo's face darkened.

Yeah, there was still the little fact that everybody around school knew Kuroo as a fuckboy. A casual hookup.

Sometimes I forget about that, especially when the two of us are together.

"I am... I'm so sorry," Akari stuttered, "I don't know what came over me... I didn't mean it like that."

Kuroo straightened up, "It's all good. I know what they say about me. I couldn't care less."

"Right..." Akari mumbled, looking down. I could tell she felt bad, but she didn't really have anything to feel bad about. She was right, wasn't she?

I cleared my throat, "Anyways. Akari and I should be getting to class. So, um.. bye Kuroo."

A slight grin spread across his face, "Actually, I'm coming with you guys."

"What?" I gave him a look.

"Didn't you hear? The first period teachers are all doing a conjoined lesson of second and third years, sort of like an opportunity for us to mentor you guys."
