"100 percent." She didn't even blink. "Either you do it, or you hand over your phone and I do it."

Peter left school as soon as the bell rang and got changed into his suit. He took his bag up to a nearby roof and webbed it there - he'd decided it was less likely to get stolen that way - then went on patrol.

One hour of small crimes and selfies with fans later, Spidey was sat on a roof, bored. He got out his phone and saw he had several new messages from an unknown number.

Hi

So I'm your 'number neighbour'

And my psychiatrist says I need someone to talk to who doesn't know me

So here we are

This is dumb idek why I'm doing this

The messages were from several hours ago, during school. Peter looked around, then shrugged and decided to reply.

Peter:

Hi number neighbour! Thanks for your messages, I'm happy to meet you :D

It took the other person less than a minute to reply.

Yeah no that's unnecessary I just needed to pretend I'd tried so she'll finally give up on me
