"imagine if we had a little me or a little you running around."

"huh?" i questioned. my boyfriend, daniel james, of three years just blurted this out in front of me.

"imagine if we had a little me or a little you running around."

"what do you mean, love?"

he stood up and came over to me. "it would be so amazing for us to have mini us keeping us occupied. doing the school run, spoiling them every birthday and christmas."

i thought about it for a while. "it would be nice, i guess. i suppose if we go into another lockdown in the future we can become teachers."

"don't jinx it, baby. i don't want to be out of football without an injury or a ban."

we both laughed at his small joke.

"i mean, we would be a good team, wouldn't we?" dan stated.

"yeah. when i'm pregnant i won't be grouchy for a week straight with my period."

"true. i won't get screamed at for having the tv volume too loud."

"or when i've run out of food in bed."

"see, there are positives to it. when are you thinking of... trying? it's your body that will carry the baby for 9 months, so it will be whenever you feel comfortable."

"soon. in the next year, maybe? we are young, and it will be a lot with you footballing."

"definitely, but i think that i'm ready. you know the lads and their girlfriends and wives can help us if we need them too. my mum will surely want to, and i'm sure your parents will also."

"yeah. it'll be when i'm definitely off my period, i don't want to start my period if we are doing it. if you catch my drift,"

"i do, i understand. i can't wait."

"well, now you can."

"i can what?"

"imagine a little me or a little you running around."
