XVIII: Still No Luck

Amber's POV

It's been four days and I still don't know where Dave is. I've been crying non-stop and barely eaten anything. I'm worried sick about this man, MY man and i've let it get up to four days without finding him. My first instinct when I got that message was to check his location, but it was turned off. I know this may seem dumb, but I didn't want to get his family involved and have them worried. I mean after all I feel like all of this is my fault.

I mentally gathered all my thoughts and tried to clean my home. It was so filthy because I was in a depressed state of mind. I was drained, and I had bags under my eyes.
I walked up the stairs and started with my bedroom bathroom first.

As I was cleaning, I stopped and looked in the mirror seeing myself, I was a wreck. I had bags that were ten times bigger than normal and my wig was all over the place. This wasn't like me at all, but every time I think about it, I think the absolute worst, like "What if he's dead?" or "What if we won't be able to find him?" I shook myself out of my trance, and continued cleaning.

20 minutes later ..
After showering and having a mental breakdown at the same time, I decided to give in. I wanted to involve somebody because I wasn't coming up with any solutions, at all. I didn't want to involve anyone like his sister or brother because then they were going to be giving me the whole third degree, best believe I know.
I then looked down at my phone and gave in. Before I knew it I was dm'ing Jason.

Apparently his phone was in his hand because the message read "seen" a minute after I sent it. The three bubbles formed and then a message appeared saying: "What's wrong?"

I'm surprised he didn't question me or ask who is this? He must know something's not right, so I immediately responded.
