A bit too late, my apologies for that. Enjoy this chapter either way!

The weekend was a bit of a disappointment when it came to the results of both Anthoine and Pierre. Despite Anthoine's good starting position after his fourth place in the feature race, he finished ninth in the sprint race, just one place out of the points. Pierre didn't have much more luck. Despite sitting in the car that almost got onto the podium with Max, Pierre only made it to eight, securing the tenth position in the championship after two races with just four points.

It was a weekend to quickly forget in that perspective.

Sara had tried to keep their spirits up. It just hadn't been their weekend, but their time would come. They would get more luck in the races and they would find their way in their new machinery they were still trying to get to know. All they would have to do was stay patient and keep working as hard as they were and try to enjoy what they were doing, just like they did when they were in school. They had kicked arses back then, so they could do it with 'the big boys' as well.

Between Bahrein and Spain – the next one Sara would attend, there would be two races for both Pierre and Anthoine, the big difference that there was just one race weekend in Baku for Anthoine and another one in China for Pierre. They all hoped that by then, things had bettered for the two French drivers.

For them as friends, it had been a great weekend, however. Like old times, Pierre, Anthoine and Sara had spent hours on end together and found they all wanted things to keep going the way they were going. They would try to see each other more often and with Sara attending the Spanish race for work, they would have even more time then, seeing she would already arrive on Thursday and would fly home that Monday evening.

With Sara on the plane back to France, the next things she would have to do was work and prepare for the birthday trip she and her brothers would gift their mother. Together as a family, they would go to Florida for a week. She would have plenty of things to do before that, but if things at work kept going the way they were, Sara would have things done by the time she would take a week off.

When arriving back at the French airport, Sara found her way toward the exit of the gate. Camille would be picking her up and drop her off at her apartment as Sara didn't want to leave her car at the airport for the weekend. Sara would get her cat Cookie from the family she was staying at after putting her bags inside.

"Now, how was Bahrain?" Sara gave Camille a hug once she had found her standing at the side of the group of people waiting for family members and friends at the exit of the gate. "And those two hot friends of yours?" Sara rolled her eyes. Camille would never stop asking her about Anthoine and Pierre like that. At least not until she would get a boyfriend again.

"Bahrein was lovely. It was a bit hot but I had a wonderful time. Physically, Anthoine and Pierre – who are my best friends – are absolutely fine, but the racing wasn't that good for them."

"Honestly, I don't understand why you wouldn't just go and date one of them. I looked them up on the internet this weekend and they are just drop-dead gorgeous, plus they are athletes, so their bodies are sculpted perfectly. On top of that, you are as well, you're basically a goddess.

"Cami, cut it off because A: Anthoine is basically engaged and Pierre is just not the guy for me and B: I am very much not looking for a guy to date. I've just gotten out of a marriage. C: I really hope that the fact I actively sport and keep myself in the best possible shape won't be the reason someone decides to date me. I want a guy who'd still date me if I weighed a hundred pounds more than I do now." Camille shook her head.

"Whatever you want girl. But if I was straight, I knew what I would have done."

"Luckily, you are not me."

"But I do understand point C, I wouldn't want that either." Sara smiled and pulled her small suitcase behind her towards the exit where, in the parking lot, Camille's car stood.

"How was it here?" Deciding to drop the subject seeing not much good could come out of it. Camille shrugged her shoulders.

"The weather was grey, so not much excitement there. At work not much special either, you missed absolutely nothing."

"I feel a but coming. What happened while I was gone?" Sara raised an eyebrow, pulling her lips into a thin line to refrain from smiling.

"Nah." Sara stared at Camille as she hauled her suitcase into the boot of the car.

"Nah?! What do you mean nah?!" Camille got into the car without saying another word. "Oh, so now you are just going to ignore me?" Nothing, Camille was dead set on keeping it from Sara. "Dude!" Sara got frustrated, she wasn't one to keep secrets from anyone, so Camille was pretty much up to date about her life. And she knew not all people were like that, some were a bit more reserved, but it could be incredibly frustrating for her to pour her soul out to be greeted by secretive behaviour. Something had definitely happened and Sara wasn't going to let it go that easily. A beeping sound caught Sara's attention and as she was trying to figure out where the sound came from, she noticed the incoming text on the touch screen of the car.

"Andrea?" She asked when she saw the name. She didn't read the text however, she thought that was a step too far. "As in British Andrea?" Camille nodded and Sara gasped. "What's going on there?" She asked, now wishing she had read the incoming message that had now disappeared. "Come on. Spill the tea." Sara tried in her best British accent. Despite improving massively in her English, her English accent was still as bad as it was back when she was in school. It was a good thing they had-. Sara's mood dropped at the thought. Juliette had been the one to lead the presentations for English classes in their former friend group.

"Okay, so we kept in touch and we are pretty much trying to see whether she can come here so we can go on a date."

"No way!" Sara exclaimed excitedly. "That's amazing! I'll help you arrange things at work for her to come here if that was what you were getting at. I'll help you with whatever." Sara grinned. Camille had been looking for a nice woman to date for a while now. She had been dating a couple, but none of them stuck around for much longer than a couple of dates.

"That would be great. All the help would be very much appreciated."

"Of course!" Sara squealed. "That's so nice! How amazing would it be for you and Andrea to become a thing? You clicked so well in England, it shouldn't be such a surprise to me." They chuckled. "That's so great." Sara pouted. "I'm happy for you. I am upset you didn't tell me, however."

"Now, if you would just get yourself a date, we could go on double dates."

"Camille." Camille raised a hand in self-defence.

"I'm just saying. Is there no one in your life that you would consider to date?" Sara tried not to think of anyone, but her mind immediately shot to Carlos. He was attractive and kind and seemed to be interested in her as well. Whether it was as a friend or more she would find out later but if she would have to pick someone who was in her life at that moment, it was most surely Carlos.

"You're staying too quiet." Camille quickly looked away for a few seconds from the road to look at Sara's slightly pink cheeks. "You're thinking of someone!" Camille was surprised. Sara was so convincing in not wanting to date anyone, she was sure there just wasn't someone to date around yet. "You just thought of someone you would consider!" Sara groaned. She didn't want to lie to Camille, but admitting to it would be just as bad. "Come on. You can trust me. Is it-"

"You don't know him." Sara quickly said before Camille would get all kinds of things in her head Sara would spend weeks trying to get out. "He's from-" Sara stopped to consider her words.

"From?"

"The racing world." Camille nodded as a grin pulled at her lips.

"But you did have someone on your mind." It had been a trap and it had been perfectly set up. Camille was very well aware Sara was horrible at thinking before saying. And Sara should have known Camille was going to try and trick her into admitting she realised Carlos could just be something more than 'just friends' just like Pierre had predicted.
