"I told you I wasn't joking when I said I saw Juliette at the track in Barcelona." Pierre sat in Sara's apartment with his arms crossed. Anthoine was arriving in a little and they would spend the evening together. The next day, Sara would go to work and they would have dinner before the two men would leave again.

Pierre had said he had seen their old friend with some Mercedes crew after the race in Spain and now he and Anthoine had seen her in Monaco. The only one to have not seen her yet was Sara.

"I'm sorry Pierre, I just hadn't expected to ever be near her again. Besides, what on earth is she doing in formula one. You and Anthoine were the race junkies, she wasn't. At all." Sara crossed her arms. "But I don't want to be talking about Juliette. You guys are here to have fun, not to reminisce the past in which she decided to just ditch us." Pierre was about to go against Sara but the bell to the apartment rang and Sara stood up to open the door. "Come on in, Thoine." She stepped aside to let Anthoine in. "Julie!" Sara looked between Anthoine and his girlfriend, not to be mistaken with Juliette.

"Yeah, sorry, probably should have said something to you. I did tell Pierre in my defence!" Sara laughed.

"Nonsense, there is always some extra room for Julie." Sara hooked her arm through her best friend's girlfriend and dragged her along. "It finally gives us the chance to really get to know each other!" They walked back to the living room where Pierre greeted the two as well. "Do you want something to drink?"

As soon as everyone was provided with a drink and sat around the coffee table on comfortable chairs or on the sofa, they started chatting.

"Honestly, Anthoine gets those heart eyes when anyone mentions you." Sara grinned and Anthoine glared at her.

"Really?" Julie looked up at Anthoine and squeezed his hands. "He's just adorable, isn't he?"

"Well, most of the time he is a pain in the behind, but he can be sweet as well."

"But Sara, I've heard you have taken a liking in someone as well."

"If that's going to happen, I'm going to be the last one of us to be single."

"You officially are already Pierre, you keep forgetting I was already married once."

"But that doesn't count." Sara and Pierre stared at each other, trying to win the match.

"But that doesn't matter, I am curious about what you have to say about... It was Carlos right?" She looked at Anthoine for some backup and he nodded.

"Carlos is an amazing guy, I have to admit that." Sara started to blush. She had been thinking about it ever since she had gotten back from Monaco. She liked Carlos and definitely saw the potential for more than just friends but she didn't want to test fate. Or her feelings. As it turned out, she wasn't very good at understanding them.

"But?"

"So was Noah and I loved him – and still do – with all my heart, just not in the way we thought we did. I don't want to risk Carlos' and mine friendship over me thinking there could be more while we are meant to be just friends.

"If you would have listened to us- Ow!" Anthoine rubbed his side.

"I know, if I would have listened to those around me, I wouldn't have married Noah, you're right."

"And we're saying you and Carlos are different."

"I don't know."

"Well, we do." Sara shrugged and everyone decided to leave it at that. Sara was stubborn, especially when it came to things that included her feelings and emotions in any sort of way.
