Bailey looked toward the direct the voice was coming from. The last thing she remembered was Sesshomaru saying goodbye then walking into the white abyss. "Come this way." The voice said beckoning Bailey to a door on the far side of the bright beyond. Entering she found herself in a dark place. In front of her stood a woman in a priestess outfit one that reminded her of the one Kagome wore. "Who the hell are you?"

Bailey asked keeping eye contact with the woman. "I am the spirit of the tree of ages." The woman said. "You look like an ordinary woman to me." Bailey said to her not impressed at all. A laugh escaped the woman. "As do you. But you are not. No. This is only a borrowed appearance. The form you see before you was created by the spirit of the arrow that was tuck on my trunk. I believe the name of the priestess to who it belonged to was Kikyo." Bailey nodded. "Why am I here?" Bailey asked. "I have brought you back from the dead. I have a request for you. Since you are not human nor demon the task is perfect for you." Bailey narrowed her eyes at the woman in front of her. "There is a beast king in the east. His name is Kirinmaru. I would like you to slay him." Bailey tilted "Kill the beast king? Why is that?" Bailey asked curiously. "Kirinmaru wishes to warp time itself plunging the world into a dark age. You being from a different time than this can understand why that can not happen." Bailey's eyes widened "Got it some nut job is trying to basically rule the world. What else is new in this era." Bailey shook her head in frustration. "You will awaken in the place you were slain. Take this so that you will be immune to Kirinmaru and his sisters demon powers." The woman held out a necklace to her. The pendant was round with tiny sakura blossoms embedded into the glass. Bailey took it and put it on. "Good luck to you Lady Bailey." Bailey's eyes opened to the brightness of the sun. She sat up looking at her surroundings.

The abandoned kingdom was still deserted. Overgrown greenery threatened to swallow the palace that was in ruins. Bailey looked down at herself wearing hear usual clothing. She got to her feet, stumbling a bit she caught herself. 'I need to feed. I must've been dead a while.' Bailey thoughts then turned to Rin. 'How old is she now? Is she still alive? Is she being taken care of?' She couldn't help the thoughts that invaded her mind while walking along a dirt path leading out of the abandoned kingdom. She looked at the sun rising higher into the sky. By the looks of the position it was earlier in the day. Hearing a rustling in the near bushes Bailey lept forward and grabbed a rabbit snapping it hind legs and sinking her fangs into it. Draining it of its blood she carried the carcass with her it would hold her over until she could find something bigger preferably a human. Hours passed as she walked on the road. Laughter flowed to her ears causing her to deter from the path. She hid behind trees as a couple laid in the meadow looking up at the sky. Hunger for blood struck her as she watched them. Shaking her head she decided to continued on the path. A scream ripped threw the meadow causing her to use her super speed to get to the person that had screamed. A young man with a knife to the throat of the man that was on the ground laying with his significant other. Bailey rushed behind the one holding the knife and bared her fangs sinking them into the man's wrist causing him to drop the knife and causing the couple to jump to their feet and run.

The man screamed in agony as Bailey released his arm. "Now go ahead and make this a little bit more fun and run. I'll even give you a head start." She said closing her eye and turning around. "One, two, three... you better get a move on because once I get to ten I'm coming after you." Bailey smiled with blood running down from her mouth. The man stumbled back rolling on the ground shaking in fear."... five, six, seven..." Bailey counted slowly but the man was still staring at her in disbelief. Getting to his feet he ran as fast as he could. "Eight, nine, ten. Ready or not here I come." The man ran screaming "Monster! Monster! Help me somebody please!" Catching the attention of a certain demon that had just been in a fight with a rather angry skunk and was walking through the forest near by to shake the putrid smell that was now surrounding him. The demon watched through the bushes as the man ran through the field. Tripping and falling face first into the ground. Bailey sped up behind him swiftly grabbing him and brutally tearing into his neck. The demon watched from the bushes careful not to move seeing what was happening in front of him. Once Bailey had her fill she let the man drop to the ground with a sickening thud. The demon squinted focusing on the so called 'Monster' that had killed the man in front of him. Seeing Bailey's face the demon quickly covered his mouth letting out a gasp. Bailey's eyes snapped to the bush that the demon was hiding in and sniffed the air. Quickly covering her nose she walked off in the opposite direction distancing herself from what she believed was a skunk. When she was out of sight the demon waited a bit longer than ran from his hiding spot through the forest as fast as he could.
