Bailey arrived at the village to find Setsuna and Moroha gone. "Where did they go?" She asked sniffing the air for their scent. Towa quickly shoved items into a yellow backpack. "No time to explain!" Towa said nervously as she jumped on Kirara's back and they both took off. "Hey come back here!" Bailey yelled after her frustrated. "Bailey. What seems to upset you so." Kohaku appeared behind her. "Nothing. Have you any idea why Towa just took off like that?" She questioned. Kohaku shook his head. "Not in the slightest. It seems that some of my recruits are missing as well. Leads me to think Towa is going to join them." He said smiling. Bailey huffed in frustration going into the hut Bailey emerged in her wolf form. Kohaku looked at her questionably. "Going to follow are you?" Bailey gave a small growl and took off running. The demon slayers were being welcomed by Princess Ayia before learning that the invitation they received was for a contest to be part of Ogigayatsu Hiiragi Danjo's Mercenaries. It would be a battle between demon slayers

Which ever team won would be joining the mercenaries. As the contest began the field before them was being set a blaze by oil pots that the demon slayers used against the bounty hunters. Moroha getting caught in the flames was swiftly recused as Towa and Kirara swept down and grabbed her.

Setsuna swiftly followed as she was on the demon slayers team still participating in the contest. Moroha fell trying to avoid another oil pot that had hit her head but recovers quickly. Setsuna was approaching Towa and Moroha she aimed her weapon at Moroha. "We will finish this." Setsuna said with no emotion. Towa stepped in front of Moroha protectively. "No. Setsuna. You can't." Towa said with her hands out to block Moroha. Hisui ran up and stood behind Setsuna. "We need to defeat Moroha because as a demon slayer it's our duty to see a job through to the end." He said with purpose. "Towa step aside." Setsuna asked with little amusement. "I wont. I will protect Moroha!" Towa said with determination. "Fine. Then we'll have to go all out, too." Hisui said swinging his Hiraikotsu at them. Moroha jumped blocking Towa from the hit taking the full blow.
