Boiling blood

"Time is running out dear elder sister." Luna said smirking at Bailey. Sesshomaru tried handing Mizuki to Bailey but she put up a hand to stop him with a pained look in her eyes. "You can feel it. Can you not? Your blood will start to boil. Then your throat will burn with thirst." Luna laughed lightly as she watched Bailey's eyes widen. Night was approaching Bailey could feel the heat rising in her body she looked to Sesshomaru with her eyebrows furrowed. Bailey's eyes glowed and her veins blackened and protruded until the sound of a bone cracking hit her ears. Her gazes shot to Luna as the cracking became worse. "Its a full moon! I have to get her out of here!" Bailey picked Luna up and sped off away from the village as far as she could. Dropping her hard to the ground Luna broke free from the ropes. Luna stood to her feet looking up at the full moon breathing heavily as her bones continued to crack and her body transformed.

Her grey and white fur stood out beautifully against the snow on the ground. She barred her teeth at Bailey.

Bailey looked down at her with her face twisted in anger and rage. Bailey gritted her teeth and transformed into her wolf form Bailey was significantly bigger than Luna and she barred her teeth at her and let out a loud growl.

Luna dipped down low still barring her teeth as Bailey stalked forward towards her. Luna charged and jumped only to be caught by Bailey's teeth and dragged down to the ground. Luna let out agonizing whines as Bailey bit into her front and shoulder. Luna tore herself from Bailey's grasp running as fast as she could away from her. Bailey chased after her quickly catching up to her. Pouncing Bailey landed right in front of Luna cutting off her escape route. Bailey barked at Luna and snapped her teeth rapidly at her. Luna slowly backed up whimpering in pain while blood ran down her fur from her open wound. Bailey's snout was covered in blood and her eyes glossed over with a ravenous look. Luna let out a howl for help. Her eyes growing heavy from the blood loss. Bailey could hear in the distance the thunder of paws running through the snow. Her ears twitched as they got closer. Bailey lunged for Luna but missed as Luna scurried to the side. Before Bailey could lunge again she was surrounded by wolves. Bailey was bigger than the other wolves but was clearly out numbered nineteen of them and one of her. Bailey growled and barred her teeth at them as they all stalked around her. Her ears twitched waiting for the first one to lunge. From behind one flew at Bailey and she swiftly caught it in her teeth and took it down instantly breaking its neck. The others whined and growled as they still circled Bailey. She stood over the corpse of the fallen wolf waiting for the next attack. To the right a wolf jumped at her and as she went to catch it from behind and the left two more wolves jumped as well. The two sank their teeth into her and another from in front snapped her neck. Bailey fell to the ground while the wolves howled in victory. Dragging the corpse of their fallen comrade they made their way back to their hideout. Once morning came Nakano was furious of the return of the wolves without Mizuki. "Where is he?" She yelled furiously. "He's in the village. We will go and collect him at once." Luna said as she wrapped her damaged arm. "And your sister? Has her curse finally taken over?" Nakano asked. " No mother. She is dead. She attacked us and kill Remy." Luna explained. "Dead? How?" Nakano asked curiously. "Her neck was snapped during our fight." Luna said proudly. "You foolish girl! You can not kill a hybrid by snapping their neck! Do you have any idea what you've done! Now she will cone for us all!" Nakano yelled furiously at Luna. "If she kills me her curse will be lifted! We must sacrifice the child before she comes for us!" Nakano continued to yell causing the rest of their pack to cower in fear. "She doesn't know that. Her and her friends believe there's no way to lift it! I will go and retrieve the child for you mother!" Luna said with tears running down her face. "You better because if you come back without that child again I will kill you myself." Nakano hissed angrily.

Luna nodded running from the hideout as fast as she could. "Men go with her and see that she completes her task. As for Bailey. If her curse hasn't taken over rip out her heart and bring it to me." Nakano said with her eyes glowing bright gold.
Sesshomaru had left Mizuki with his daughters in the village to find Bailey. Overcome with worry for his wife he followed the scent of wolves and found Bailey laying their with her neck snapped. Dragging her large wolf form back to the village he could feel her body temperature rising. His eyes narrowed as he entered the village his mind on one thing. What would happen if she woke up and the curse had fully taken over. Images of Bailey flashed in his mind. Bailey's body transformed back to her human form and Sesshomaru wrapped her up in his haori. As he got to an unoccupied hut he wrapped Bailey in a blanket and put his haori back on keeping his eyes on Bailey. Her eyes shot open and he readied his hand holding his breath. "Sesshomaru." She said with relief. He sighed and pulled her into a warm embrace. Tears stung Bailey's eyes as he held her. "I need to see Mizuki!" She said as tears threatened to fall from her eyes. As Setsuna entered holding Mizuki in her arms she gently handed him to Bailey. Bailey smiled sadly and the tears ran down her face."I can feel it. My body is getting hotter with every pacing minute." She cried holding Mizuki tight.

"I was a mother and now I'm a monster. Or at least soon I will be. It's not safe for anyone to be near me." She said looking down at Mizuki with pain and longing. Kissing his forehead one last time. She handed him back to Setsuna. Getting to her feet she went to the huts door. "Where are you going?" Sesshomaru asked watching her closely. Bailey turned to him her eyes taking a reddish hue. "Before I loose myself I'm going to kill all of them." She said as the black veins took a permanent spot under her eyes then she was gone her sped faster than Sesshomaru has ever seen it.
