She turned and was walking towards the door.

"Yaad aa gaya", karan said from behind.

But she didn't turn.

"Yaad aa gyaa uss ladki ke baare mein"

Preeta stopped but didn't turn.

She said w/o turning back with a shivering voice "Dekho tum mujhe tangg mat karo Bajarbattu." She again started going.

"TUM HI WOH MASK GIRL HO NA.." ,Karan said.

Ground slipt beneath Preeta, she was too shocked listening this from him. She immediately turned and saw him who was dipped in Hell Anger. He was gritting his teeth.

Preeta: (stammering) tumhara dimaag kharab ho jata hai kya hn.. jab bhi dekho e..eekk.. hi ra..ra..ratt lagaye rahte.. kitni..

Karan (cutting her sentence, softly): kitna jhooth bologi Preeta.. (shouts) kitna jhuth bologi.

Preeta got scared seeing him shouting like a beast.She closed her eyes in fear.. finding him so angry She turned to leave as she knew she couldn't handle the truth.

Karan rushed to her immediately and pulled her by holding her arms and pinned her to the wall.. her head hit the wall. He held her through shoulders tightly. Preeta was avoiding eye contact.

Preeta: mein.. mein k.. koi jhuth nahi bol rahi hun.

Karan; yahi baat mere aankho mein dekhkar kaho Preeta. (She avoided eye contact) (fuming in anger) (chuckles) nahi keh sakti na.. (shouted) nahi kah sakti..

Preeta closed her eyes tightly being scared.

Karan: aur uss din kya kaha tha saboot chahiye na tumhe.. saboot..? Hnn..?

Flashback started.

Preeta: (jerking his hands) tumhara toh shakk khatam ho gaya tha.. Shanaya hi woh hai yeh jaanne ke baad..

Karan: kis ne kaha?

Preeta: (confused) kis ne kaha matalab tumne hi toh kaha tha..

Karan: meine toh nahi kaha tha ki mujhe nahi lagta ki tum wahi ho..

Preeta: arree..

Karan: haan.., Mujhe toh ab bhi shakk hai ki kahin tum hi woh MASK GIRL ho..

Preeta widened her eyes.

Preeta: are you nuts or what..? M...mmm..mein woh l..ladki nahi hun... Kitne baar kahun.. aur waise bhi tumhare paas koi ek bhi sabbut nahi hai yeh prove karne ke liye.. ok..!!

Karan: ok..!! Toh sabbut chahiye tumhe hn..? Thik haiwoh toh mein kabhi na kabhi nikaal hi lunga..

Preeta: koshish karke dekh lo...

Flashback ended.

Karan: Toh ye lo saboot.

Preeta opened her eyes and saw him searching something in his phone. She was breathing heavily.  Her breath was getting so uneven. She was blinking her eyes so very often.

Karan: (showing him the picture he collected) yaad hai ya mein yaad dilaun..(she was shocked, her gaze still lowered) (chuckles)
