Mia's pov

Once again awoken by the commotion in the house due to Maria and David's quarreling,"Where did you go?"Maria questions,"I went to go see him."David response and then there is a pause,"What did you say to him David?"Maria questions,"I told him the truth he deserves to know."David says and Maria slammes her hand onto the table,"But it's not your place damnit!"

"Ouch!"Maraia sqeels and I quickly pull the blankets off my body,"No,don't."Paula says stopping me from getting up,"Why?We have to go help her."

"No Mia it will make things worse,just..."She trails off,"Go back to sleep."

"Listen here woman don't you ever talk to me like that ever again,I'm I clear!?"David says then all that is heard is silence.

"Mia dear,you have to get ready now you're appointment is in two hours."Maria says with a cup of rooibos tea in her hand,"Thank you."I say after sitting up straight and gently taking the cup of hot tea from her,she smiles then turns to walk away but I grab her hand,"What's wrong?"She asks perplexed at my action,"I heard what happened last night,does that happen regularly?"I asks and she fiddles with the tray she way holding,"Maria?Does he always beat you?"I asks and tears start to well up in her eyes,and that is enough for me to get my answer.I put the tea on the side and I pull her in for a tight hug,"Maria,I'm so sorry."

She sniffs,"Its not you're fault,David has an alfamale personality,it's always his way or the high way."She takes a pause,"But I just had to speak up yesterday,it was not his place to tell Mr.Rodriguez."

"But h-

"Maraia,get down here and make me some tea,I have to go do some work for Mr.Rodriguez and I don't want to be late!"David yells up from downstairs.Maria quickly wipes her face and stands up,"Mia you-

"Maraia!"David exclaims,Maria sighs,"Coming."

She walks to the door but stops when she reaches the door handle,"Mia I forgot to tell you,after we come back from the doctor we have to go to Mr.Rodriguez's place and you have to come with us because we won't have enough money to send you back home with a taxi."

"Maraia,are you going to come make this tea this year!?"David starts again and I roll my eyes and shrink my face in disgust at how he treats his wife,I thought he was a nice caring man but he turned out to be the exact opposite,how I wish I could take Maria away from this place.

"I'm coming!"

"Mia-

"Just go to him,before he makes a scene."I say while slowly getting out of bed,"Okay but you did hear what I said right?"She asks pitty evident in her tone,I look down and nod before she walks out.

Hi guys sorry for taking so long to update,I've had a lot of test and assignments and plus I had zero ideas.
Anyway,I'll  try to update every week.
Oh and what do you guys think of David Delrato?
