Ten minutes to go.

She introduced him to her class full of third graders during his visit. They had all been so excited to meet him that they each wrote him a handmade card. Leigh loved it because it kept them quiet for half an hour. 

“Are you two getting married?” One of the little girls asked, her pigtails swishing back and forth.

“Ew! Ms. Myster isn't old! Only old people get married." A little boy contorted his face into a disgusted expression.

"Don't get married! Then you will leave us and that would be so sad!" 

"Don't worry, I'm not getting married anytime soon." She laughed uncomfortably as Ben tried to control his own genuine laughter.

“But won’t you marry me, Ms. Myster?” asked Joey, the little boy who loved bringing Leigh presents and wrote her ‘secret admirirer’ letters. 

“You’ll have to fight me for her!” Ben joked, holding up a pencil in an on-guard position. 

Leigh laid her hand over the pencil, lowering it. “No fighting in the classroom, Mr. Matthews.”

“Sorry, Ms. Myster. You’re just so pretty, I couldn’t help it.” Ben chirped innocently.
