kairi: im off

I quietly said to eli. she had her back turned to me, didn't even bother to look at me and instead, just covered herself with the blanket. I looked down at my feet and stood at the door of our bedroom for a second, hoping she would at least tell me "have a good day," but it never came. I drove to my agency and ally was already in my office, with two coffees in hand

kairi: ah.. you're here earlier than usual
ally: early bird gets the worm!
kairi: right, aha..

I put my things on my desk and sat down

kairi: so uh.. can I help you or..
ally: why the cold shoulder today? cant we just hang out?
kairi: ..you know, I-I just have a lot of work to do today
ally: oh? can I help?

she came behind my desk and leaned down close to me

kairi: no it's okay

I backed up in my chair

ally: two heads are better than one
kairi: haha.. well.. this head is pretty big

she laughed and came closer to me, she had grabbed onto my chair so I couldn't exactly roll away.

kairi: can you back up?
ally: oh come on, we've certainly been a lot closer before

she smirked and I furrowed my brows

ally: hahahaha! you should see your face! oh kairi, i'm just teasing!

she pointed at her ring

kairi: uha..haha..
ally: i'm gonna go check on the project, i'll see you later!

she left my office. my heart was racing. not from excitement, but from shock. I cant bring myself to push her away, I cant risk losing the deal.. but I also can't risk losing the love of my life.

josiah's pov:

josiah: orange
lisette: goodbye
josiah: what!
lisette: who picks orange juice over apple juice
josiah: ITS GOOD
lisette: not better than apple juice
josiah: yes it is
lisette: no it's not
josiah: YES, it is
lisette: are you still high?
josiah: no, i'm no-

the realization that she had seen the video hit me

josiah: um so like anyways
lisette: if this whole hero thing doesn't work out for you, you should definitely get into singing
josiah: shut up, just shut up

she chuckled and stood up, washing her plate

lisette: do you um..

I looked up at her, she hesitated

lisette: uh.. never mind

she smiled it off and shook her head

josiah: what
lisette: no nothing
josiah: bruh you can't do that
lisette: do what?
josiah: start asking a question and then NOT ASK IT
lisette: but I just did
josiah: but it's illegal
lisette: okay? so am i
josiah: what? you- ..oh.. OH..

I pursed my lips, what am I supposed to say now?! she started laughing

lisette: you look so freaked out!
josiah: stop! what am I supposed to say after that?!
lisette: nothing, you were supposed to laugh

she said, still laughing. I couldn't help but chuckle at her laughing so much. I felt a small tug on my shirt, I  turned around to see quinn

quinn: um..
lisette: ...
josiah: yes?
quinn: can we talk..
