I stared at him and he softly smiled at me, he looked like someone I knew but I just couldn't get my head around it
dylan: ah, look at the time, here keep the change
he smiled once more, paid and grabbed his bag
josiah: um yeah, have a nice day
dylan: you too
lisette: my head hurts so bad
I turned around to her
josiah: you want a head massage? shoulder? I don't usually do feet but you're an exception
lisette: get away from me
she laughed and pushed my head away
lisette: who was that?
josiah: uh I don't know
lisette: hm, these candies are so good what the fuck
she hopped up on the counter and sat down
josiah: those aren't free, you know
I put my hands on both sides of the counter, leaning in
lisette: i'll pay lee later
josiah: you can just give me a kiss and I won't tell
she shook her head and laughed, then slipped a candy in my mouth
josiah: now hold on cause these are good
lisette: that's what I said!
josiah: LEE!
mrs. lee: WHAT!
josiah: CAN I GET A PACK OF THESE HARD CANDIES FOR FREE!
mrs. lee: HELL NO!
josiah: ...WHAT ABOUT LISETTE!
mrs. lee: SHE CAN GO AHEAD AND GET AS MANY AS SHE WANTS-
josiah: I HATE YOU!
she pushed me back with her pointer finger and walked over to the candy aisle. she came back with two packs and stuffed them in her bag
josiah: fatass-
lisette: one of them is for you-
josiah: oh
lisette: just for that, i'm not giving you any
josiah: that's not fair
lisette: oh well
the fact that I still couldn't figure out who the stranger was, was bothering me. I know i've seen him somewhere, I just don't know where. I eventually let it go and went along with my day.
Josiah: time for bed
Iris: not yettt!
Josiah: you've yawned like four times already, you have to go to sleep
Iris: I dont want too!
she crossed her arms and pouted at me
Josiah: why not!
I said as I imitated her voice and crossed my arms, pouting back at her. she tried to hide her smile and just looked away. she's just like her sister, its hilarious
Iris: because...
Josiah: because ~
Iris: ..cause then when I wake up you're gone
I laughed at how cute that was and hugged her
Josiah: I leave because I have to go to school and work, that way your sister and I can come back and make yummy food for you and your brother, not because I wanna leave you
Iris: ..for realzies?
I chuckled
Josiah: for realzies
Iris: well then.. I guess thats okay!
Josiah: so, bed time?
Iris: mh!
she hummed in response. I carried her over to bed where Lisette and alessandro were, and tucked her in.
Iris: when I grow up, im gonna make so much money that you won't have to work anymore after we get married!
Lisette: you're marrying who now?
Iris: Josiah!
Lisette: yeah, not happening
Iris: why not!
Lisette: ..be-because.. uhm-
Alessandro: come on iris, he's already grown and you're barley 6
Lisette: yeah! so.. you can't marry him!
