we're.. classmates..?

we got our food brought to us a little after them and at that point my appetite had disappeared, I felt full.

Gio: ..can we get these to go?
waiter: of course

the waiter came back with two to go containers. we put the food in and left the restaurant without Josiah even noticing we were there.

*Josiahs pov*

Kehlani: left... no no too left! go right.. a little higher.. okay.. okay go!

I pressed the button on the claw machine and as expected, it dropped the plushy.

Josiah: I told you these things are rigged
Kehlani: ugh! it's so cute though!!
Josiah: ..

I looked around for a second and then quickly used my telekinesis to drop the plushy into the slot and it fell out. kehlani gasped in excitement and squatted down to get the plushy

Kehlani: ahhhh! it's so cute!

I chuckled as she showed everyone, she ran back to me, got on her tippy toes and gave me a peck on my cheek

Kehlani: thank you
Josiah: oh- i uh... y-you're welcome

i smiled, and was internally yelling

Kehlani: come on, let's go

she started walking out and I just stood there, looking at her

Kehlani: josiah?

I got startled and realized what I was doing. I quickly nodded my head and jogged over to her.

Josiah: question
Kehlani: hm?
Josiah: if you had a different quirk, or like.. different circumstances to it.. would you become a hero?
Kehlani: I mean yeah, being a hero seems cool.. I wanted to be one when I was younger but then a realized my situation wasn't great for that type of work
Josiah: mh..
Kehlani: but I do enjoy my little normal life so, it works out

she smiled

Josiah: what are you going to study?
Kehlani: probably software engineering
Josiah: really? I never picked you out to be that
Kehlani: yeah no one really does

she laughed

Kehlani: if you weren't going to be a hero, what would you study to be
Josiah: mm..

I never actually thought about it like that..

Josiah: honestly I don't know.. my future has kinda always relied on becoming a hero so.. I never actually stopped to second think it
Kehlani: well that's good
Josiah: is it thought? what if things don't work out?
Kehlani: it just means you're really set on becoming a hero, that's all
Josiah: well I guess you're right
Kehlani: so that's good.. I like me a man with goals

she looked at me and I slightly smiled, even blushed a bit

Josiah: usually i'm the flirt
Kehlani: gotta switch things up sometimes

we both laughed

Josiah: hm.. what should we do
