"He just left?!" Zhou Zishu asked Han Ying who seemed unsure of the situation, "it couldn't be..." he dived deep in thought, "he was so afraid when I brought him here, he couldn't have just left like that..."

"I came back from work and he was gone..." Han Ying insisted, "I searched every nearby place and couldn't find him."

"Are you sure he just left like that?" Zhou Zishu asked for the tenth time.

"Zishu, I'm being honest. I came back the previous day and I couldn't find him." Han Ying repeated, "maybe he got bored, maybe he missed his friends, I don't know..."

Zhou Zishu got up, ready to leave the house again after he just arrived. "I must search for him."

"Zishu! You should get your life back together!" Han Ying stood up to object, "stop doing these impulsive things! Look how it's affecting you!"

"How?" He looked at himself, "How is it affecting me?"

"You're all bruised up! Look how he treats you!" Han Ying threw false accusations, "He's abusive isn't he?"

"What the hell?" Zhou Zishu spat his nonexistent water, "It's not what you think..." he blushed, "And what does that have to do with Chengling..."

"They're all quick, bad, and impulsive decisions..."

"You were the one who told me Wen Kexing is a good guy," Zhou Zishu argued, "you approved of him first."

"Maybe you should leave him," Han Ying persisted, "although I was too drunk to remember everything clearly, but I still recall some bits and pieces of that night when we were drinking together." Han Ying shook his head, "He's crazily possessive, and he almost choked me to death." Han Ying trembled, "it's like he was some type of unreal being..." He paused, "or maybe I was too drunk."

"I can't leave him." Zhou Zishu's words rang with honesty, "I don't want to."

"Zishu!" Han Ying pushed him to sit down, "just tell me, what exactly happened?"

"We just had a small fight." Zhou Zishu brushed him off, "Anyway, you might be right, Chengling probably got bored and left...He's just a child."

"Good, you're coming back to your senses," Han Ying grinned, "Go rest, you're limping."

"Shut up, Han Ying."

One night, two nights, three, four, five... Five nights. No messages, no calls, no knocks-or kicks- on the door. Zhou Zishu began to worry; Wen Kexing had never disappeared for such a long time before. He started blaming himself for being too harsh on him, maybe the heart of a vampire was too easy to break, maybe he really overreacted, or maybe that's exactly what he needed to do to teach him a lesson at human relationships... He tossed and turned in bed, over-thinking and doubting his previous actions.

The blood bond matter had shocked him, he despised and feared the idea that Wen Kexing would inevitably die one day because his endless life was linked to his own mortal one. He cursed him for being stupid and impulsive but his heart expressed the total opposite.

He had been feeling uneasy, physically and emotionally uneasy, like there was a knot in his heart, like it was somehow hard to breathe. This was not the first he woke up at night with a mild physical and emotional pain all over his heart and body. He just assumed it might be a side effect of Wen Kexing's broken heart through the blood bond... He brushed away the idea and laid back down; his mind traveling back to Chengling. He still remembered the terrified and innocent expression on his face when he first found him, he couldn't have possibly left by himself; he had nowhere to go; Zhou Zishu didn't believe it.
