"Inaya beta ap ready ho?", Inaya quickened her movement when she heard Mrs. Baig's call.
(Inaya beta are you ready?)

"Jee Ami! Mai ready hoon", she answered holding the plates and strode into the dining room. Indicating the helping hand to follow her.
(Yes Ami! I am ready.)

"Beta apne University jana tha, nashta Rashida ready kar deti ap ku kitchen me lag gaye", Mrs. Baig glimmered looking at her daughter-in-law who had demonstrated to be the best choice for his son in just a week.
(Beta you had to leave for university, Rashida would've prepared breakfast, why did you enter the kitchen?)

"Koi baat nahi Ami, meri class me abhi time tha to mene kaha nashte me help kaar dun Rashida ki", she answered setting the table and Mrs. Baig nodded getting seated.
(It's alright Ami, there's still time before my class starts so I thought of helping Rashida a bit.)

"Beta wese aapas ki baat hai, tumhare hath ka paratha to Amna ke bane parathey se bhi zyada laziz hai", Mr. Baig praised taking food in his plate making Inaya blush at his complement.
She had developed a soft corner for Asfandyar's parents in just a week. They were so cute. She would find it amusing how both of them teased and fought then turn lovey-dovey all at once.
(If you ask me then I must say, the tortillas made by you are tastier then the ones Amna makes.)

"Wese mera mu mat khulwayen Hasan saab, jab hamari nayi nayi shaadi hui thi tab yaad hai aap kia kehte they? 'Ami! Amna to apse bhi achey parathey ban leti hai'", Inaya giggled hearing the remark and Mr. Baig laughed.
(Don't get me to talk Mr. Hasan, do you remember when we got married you used to say, 'Ami! Amna makes better parathas than you'.)

"Wo to mai wese hi bol deta tha, ab tum jalo to nahi, meri bahu ke hath me jadu hai to isme meri kia galti", he answered taking a bite and winked at Inaya who fought back a laugh.
(Leave that, It's not my mistake that my daughter-in-law is an expert.)

"Inaya ki baat kar rahey hain is liye chup hoon, meri bahu ke hath me waqaye kamal hai", she uttered pouring juice for her and Mr. Baig smiled.
(I am quiet for the sole reason, my daughter-in-law is an expert.)

"Beta abhi ye kuch bolti nahin, socho jab bola too phir kia hoga", he clamored and Inaya chuckled.
(Inaya beta according to her she doesn't say anything, think what will happen if she starts to talk.)

"Abu ab aap galat keh rahe hain", Inaya spoke taking her Mother-in-law's side with made Mrs. Baig look to Mr. Baig. As If announcing, "Dekh liya aapne".
(No Abu, you're wrong here.)
