Decisions

I walk back to my quarters and find Elysian softly humming to herself while brushing through her hair "May I speak with you my love?" she turns in her seat smiling softly "Of course, what is wrong? You look awfully tense." I smile taking her hands in mine "Your parents came to talk to me earlier." she chuckles softly "What did they say to you?"

Brushing a strand of hair away from her face I sit opposite her "They mentioned something about your immortality." her face pales slightly "They told you?" I smile cupping her cheek "Why didn't you tell me?" she shrugs slightly "I couldn't ask you to choose between your kingdom and me, it wouldn't be right. I have no problems with coming mortal."

"So you wouldn't even discuss it?" she shakes her head smiling "There is nothing to discuss." she stands and I follow her to the bed sitting next to her "My dear I would happily become immortal for you. An eternity with you would be the ultimate gift." she flushes slightly "But you would out live your entire family. What about Fili and Kili?" 

I chuckle "They can survive on their own. I suggest a compromise. I will become immortal and we will stay here until Fili is ready to take the throne then we will leave." she nods slightly "There is no going back once one of us chooses. Are you sure?" leaning closer I lean my forehead against hers "I'll love you for eternity my dear were ever we end up. I can't be the reason you leave your family. You have already been separated for so long. This way we both get to be with our families and neither feels guilty for the other."

She giggles closing her eyes "I guess so. I love you Thorin Oakenshield so much. I don't know what I did to deserve you." I chuckle kissing her gently "I believe it is the other way around my dear. I never thought I would find someone as perfect as you." I brush my lips over hers once more slowly moving my arms up around her neck while hers come up one hand cupping my face and the other running through my hair.

After a moment we pull apart breathing heavily, Elysian smiles warmly stroking my cheek gently with a finger "You should sleep my king." I stand changing into something less regal before laying next to her on the bed pulling her into my side running a hand thorough her hair "I almost forgot I have your courting bead." I pull it out my pocket and carefully re-doe her braid attaching the bead on the end. "Perfect." she grins and kisses my cheek gently "I love it. her hand traces it and one of the silver bands circling her ear seems to melt down swirling around before forming an almost identical bead "Now we match." she attaches it to the end of my braid "Good night love." she smiles pressing a gently kiss to my lips "Good night."
