Spending five days in Cabo with my friends was exactly what I needed. We spent most of our days on the beach, at parties, and drinking a lot of Pina Coladas.

Before I got to Mexico, I was kind of worried that my head would affect how I viewed my body, but I actually felt really good. It felt nice to like what you see in the mirror.

Even though I was sad to leave Cabo and my friends a day early, I was really excited to go to Texas even if my flight was at five in the morning. After all, I'd never been before and I wanted to see Beau.

Plus I liked how airports made me feel.

They always felt exciting to me. I loved thinking about all of the places that people could be going to.

When Beau said he would pick me up from the airport, I expected him to just meet me outside, but no.

As I went down the escalator to baggage claim, I saw him standing right there.

"Hi, Natalie." he held out this arms

Beau pulled me into a hug. "You got so tan."

He always smelt so good, and don't get me started on those arm muscles.

One thing I noticed lately is that he stopped giving me side hugs.

"The beach will do that to a girl." I grinned.

"When did you get here?" I asked Beau as we walked to the baggage claim carousel.

"Yesterday. I caught a super early flight after my game." Beau responded.

The two of us stood off to the side as we waited for the suitcases to start to come out.

"Are you excited to be in Texas? I have a lot of good shit planned during our short stay." Beau questioned me.

I nodded my head. "I can't wait to see what you have planned."

"Oh yeah girl, I have things planned for today." I gently nudged my arm.

"Isn't the rehearsal dinner today?" I reminded him.

"It is," he confirmed. "It's not until six tonight. It's currently eight in the morning which means we have plenty of time."

I glanced at Beau. "What are we doing?"

"First, we're going to get out of this airport and drive thirty minutes back to my Dad's house. Did you eat?" Beau asked me.

One thing about Beau was that once he saw me at my lowest, he always made sure that I had something to eat. I couldn't even lie to him because he could read me so well.

"I didn't," I answered honestly.

"So we're going to go grab some breakfast, then go to my dad's, unpack, and then I'm going to show you around the property."  Beau informed me.

I raised an eyebrow. "Property?"

"Our house is on a big plot of land. You'll see," he responded.

I was intrigued.

I couldn't wait to see what his house looked like.

Beau got my luggage, we walked to his car, and he took me to a local breakfast restaurant.

"Have we ever eaten at a chain restaurant?" I asked Beau.

"I don't really know. I try to avoid them, you know? Local restaurants and diners always taste the best." he held up his big ass chocolate chip pancake, "You can't get this at IHOP."

Hearing him say that added to the things that I liked about Beau.

"Don't get me wrong, I can always go for some Wendy's nuggets and a frosty." Beau added.
