- Beau's POV. -

Natalia and I made it to Texas at ten at night. She drove the last two hours so that I would be able to sleep.

There was something about seeing her drive up to my house. It was nice to see her in my world.

She greeted my sister, dad, step-mom, and step-sister. We talked for a while over my dad's homemade burgers.

When Natalia went up to take her shower, I stayed downstairs to talk to my dad. I told him everything from how we actually met to the fake dating.

"So you two weren't really dating when you came here for the wedding?" he thought back.

"Nope." I shook my head. "But that was the week that I really realized that I had feelings for her."

"She's kind, caring, and she's everything that I want and need in my life. I told her about mom and Lauren which was a big step for me." I went on.

My dad looked at me. "You did?"

"I did. I told her about therapy too. Dad, I think that I'm starting to forgive myself." I looked up at him. "To fully forgive me, I think that I'm going to go talk to mom."

"Oh wow." he sipped his tea. "When are you doing that?"

I sighed. "Tomorrow. I texted her while Nat was driving, and she invited us over for brunch/lunch."

"Are you going to take Margot?" he wondered.

I shook my head. "I want to do this on my own terms. She still thinks of her as her little doll. I need her full attention."

"That's fair." my dad yawned.

"I'm going to bed, but I should be up before you go." he stood up from the couch. "Sweet dreams, I love you."

"Love you too, Baba." I gave him a small smile.

I cleaned up the kitchen, turned off the lights, and went upstairs.

I gently opened the door of the guest bedroom. I could see her lying in the bed.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

She was out cold.

I closed the door, took a quick shower, and went back into the guest bedroom.

"Scoot over." I whispered.

"Your room is down the hall." she mumbled as she scooted over.

I got into the bed and like it was part of a routine, Nat snuggled up to me. She let me hold her.

"Your mom texted me, you forgot to call." I whispered.

Her eyes were closed. "I'll call her in the morning."

"When did Tatum get a phone? She was texting me too. She asked me to send her pictures when we got to Florida." I gently stroked her arm.

Nat let out a small laugh. "She loves her some Mazhar Aydin."

"I'm going back to sleep. Goodnight, angel." she went on.

I kissed her forehead. "Goodnight, habibti."

I thought that I wouldn't feel much emotion when it came to seeing my mom. I was wrong.

The whole drive, I was jittery. Natalia was able to tell.

She held my hand as we pulled up to the house. "Are you okay?"

My mom lived up north Texas in a custom contemporary house on a quiet street. Her new husband was an architect and realtor, so their homes were always nice. His car was in the driveway, so was a pick-up truck.
