Chapter 39

"Girl, we need to go now. Baka maiwan tayo ng eroplano." Ally caressed my back and guided me papasok sa immigration.

It's been a week now, and I feel so empty. Para akong namamanhid. Hindi ko maramdaman ang bawat kilos ko. Nagkamali ako na binuhos ko ang lahat ng pag mamahal ko sa isang lalaki hanggang sa wala nang natira para sa sarili ko.

I lost myself because I loved someone that I even sacrificed my own life to keep him safe. Muntik ko nang mawala ang mga anak ko because of chasing their father who doesn't give a damn to us.

My Ob-gyne told me to take a break and distance myself from those people who can cause me stress. Now we are flying to States to have a vacation and visit Carmela. I badly need to relax.

"Stop stressing yourself. We are going there to unwind. No social media and all. We don't need it." Chan told me.

"Yes, I know." I simply said and give her a small smile.

The whole 16 hours I'm just sleeping. Si mom and dad ang nag book ng flight namin. They chose business class para daw kumportable ako sa pag tulog at masarap ang pagkain. Kapag hindi inaantok, I just look outside the window while listening to music at kapag bored, nanonood ng kung ano anong movie.

They promise to call every day para kamustahin ako at para na din bawas sa stress ko, sila na ang nag aasikaso ng pag rerebuild ng restaurant. Nothing will change except sa owner. My family already cut our connection with him. He also got banned sa subdivision just to make sure that he will never get the chance to come near us.

Sa ilang araw na nag daan, I was waiting for him na lapitan ako at humingi sa akin ng patawad. Umaasa ako na babawiin niya lahat ng sinabi niya pero hindi nangyari. I waited for nothing and wasted my time hoping.

We waited for a few more minutes bago lumabas.

Carmela is the one who will be picking us. Napagkasunduan ng parents namin na we will stay sa bahay nila Carmela habang nandito kami to ensure our safety lalo na ako na buntis.

She's holding a banner na may nakasulat na "Dito mga tanga! Carmela to."

Natatawang lumapit kami sa kanya at niyakap siya ng mahigpit. Nakakatawang isipin, a month ago she was holding a gun and pointing it to me, but now parang walang nangyari. We still love each other just like before everything happened. Nanaig pa din ang pagiging sister namin in heart.

"Ganda naman ng banner mo parang ang sarap ipaalmusal sayo bukas ah?" Tumatawang sabi ni Chan.

"Maganda kasi ako." Carmela flipped her hair and wink at us.

"Kasura, tanga." Ngiwi ko.

"Hala, ayan, sigi. Si buntis na nagsabi na nakakasura mukha mo." Napanguso si Carmela dahil sa sinabi ni Ally. "Maganda ako diba, momma A?"
